   Travelled over from Leeds to try Poplar Grove Fisheries and it was well worth it. I had the special haddock, which you get to choose cod or haddock cooked perfectly. The chips were spot on, mushy peas lovely, and curry sauce fantastic. Staff were really friendly, place was busy as you’d expect, but a great experience all round.

   Ordered battered sausage, homemadefishcake and some curry, service was excellent, food was hot, however the homemade fishcake was chewy and overcooked. I will probably not visit again. Overall it's ok.

   Bit disappointed on this occasion unfortunately the fish batter had stuck to the paper not if it's because of grease or not but it felt the fish had been cooked enough and was still soggy there an expensive thing to throw away
