“First time ordered. Was quite impressed. When comes to takeaways I'm more Chinese. Family love both Indian. For me is was a little hot. But I know next time to order slightly milder. Norm Im very anxious about ordering from places I have not before as regretted in past... Not in this case! Food was delivered relatively quicker then expected. Food tasted great. Family loved it and so did I. My mother loves indian and from now on this is my go to place. Glad I tried somewhere new.”

“We went there after our civil wedding to get some lunch. We hadn't booked and they had no idea that we were going for an after wedding lunch. In a few minutes they had created for us a corner to take photos. What a wonderful surprise!!!! A big thank you to the staff. You made our day even more special”

“We had a very pleasant afternoon having lunch and browsing the farm shops! It’s very well organised and has plenty of parking. It’s dog friendly everywhere including the farm shop which was brilliant! There’s plenty of space for children to let off steam! They’ve currently have PYO sunflowers which you need to book tickets online. Lunch was great and you can order from a QR code at your table!”

All staff were attentive and friendly, and were quick to reply to my never ending questions! On the day, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was the best wedding food we’ve ever had! “We normally go as a group of 8 or 10 or so and always greeted with a friendly handshake. The food and service is amazing, been about 4 times now and it's really nice every time. The spice of the the food I think depends of the chefs preparing it. I had chicken boti two different times and it differs in spice. But still very nice food and brilliant service.”

“From the mayflower I ordered the king prawn in tomato sauce was pleased to find a bunch stuffed in with fresh chopped tomato's in a sweet but tiny sause definitely the best Chinese in the hemsworth area”

“This pub is local to me but I never really go in when passing by. Today I thought I’d give it a try and it did not disappoint. I had the hot beef baguette with home made chips (which is something you don’t see much these days) which was really tasty with generous portion sizes. Great value, and the staff were really nice too. I will definitely be coming here more now. I sat outside, but the pub was really nice inside too.”

“Great little Chinese takeaway. Nearly all takeaways in the SESKU area and surrounding get 0,1 or 2 hygiene rating stars, I believe this one gets 5. They don't deliver but you can order to collect. You can also call ahead, such as at 5pm and arrange to collect later, such as 7pm. Food is very good.”

“Just had our annual Christmas dinner and get together here for the first time and absolutely loved it xx portion sizes are huge, the food was served hot, no mean feat when serving 15 people and really delicious xx the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble xx if you are looking for somewhere to eat, don't miss this xx”

“My wife and I used to go fairly regularly, prior to the convid lockdowns but, as it went through various changes of ownership, we went elsewhere. Anyway, as it's local, we decided to see if it was as awful as some recent reviews and went today (04/12/2025). We had an excellent experience. The staff were attentive, polite and courteous. The food was also of a high standard and, there was plenty of it. My wife had the scampi, and she had about 20 pieces on her plate! I had the steak and ale pie, and it WAS a 'pie'. Proper pastry top and bottom, not a piece of puff pastry on top of a bowl of meat. It was stuffed with lean, tender steak. Both meals came with triple cooked, hand cut, chips and, again, plenty of them. We both enjoyed our meals and, we'll be going back - a bit more regularly.”

“Best pizza in the area! You can tell that the dough is homemade and that all ingredients are fresh! I would definitely recommend pizza Roma! We ordered pizzas for our football team. We asked them for pick up at 5:30. They said that they could arrange this; and they was all ready when I arrived! Excellent service! There staff were really helpful!”

“We've only moved to the area and have tried most local curry places. We know our way around a curry and tend to have them fairly often. I held off writing a review until we'd had a good variety of dishes. We've had 3 seperate orders now and all have been exceptional. I had high expectations as the place itself always smells incredible when we walk past. The food did not disappoint. We've tried a variety of dishes from milk and creamy to hot and really quite fiery. There's a great range and huge choice. The chilli rice was also noteworthy. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to other locals. Infinitely superior to the "other" commonly recommended curry place nearby.”
