   We attended this restaurant last night for my brothers 50th birthday and what amazing service. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. There was 12 of us and we were all served our lovely food at the same time, the staff are fabulous and we were made to feel so welcome, there’s no rush for you to leave. There really is no wonder everytime I’ve been here it is always full of people enjoying there selves. Would highly recommend.

   I booked the ABBA tribute for my birthday with my friends and I thought that my afternoon booking meant 6:30pm with that being the 2nd time out of the two when it actually meant 12:30pm but the staff were really understanding and kind and managed to turn it around and get us a table on the evening booking. Lovely staff and owner and absolutely gorgeous food. I had the best birthday, thank you so much!! ♥️

   Mama Mia’s in Pontefract is hands down one of the best restaurants around. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with such warm and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The food is always outstanding and super fresh, every dish tastes like it has been made with real care and quality ingredients. Even when visiting on a weekday the place is buzzing with atmosphere, which speaks volumes about just how loved it is in the community. It is no wonder that Mama Mia’s has been open for over 30 years, the consistency and dedication really shine through every single time. I really like that there is a lovely little area at the front where you can sit down, enjoy a drink or just relax while your table is being prepared, it makes the whole dining experience feel even more special. The décor inside is beautiful and instantly transports you to Italy, giving you that authentic feel that pairs perfectly with the food. I have been many times over the years and I can honestly say it never disappoints. The atmosphere, the staff, the food and the overall experience are always spot on. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a fantastic meal in Pontefract, Mama Mia’s should absolutely be at the top of your list.

   Came here for an evening meal to celebrate my daughters exam results. I did reserve a table as I know it’s a very popular restaurant. We checked in & were asked if we would like to go to the bar or straight to our table. We opted to go to our table. The waitress took our drinks orders within 5 mins & gave us menus to read. Within 10 mins our food order was taken. We didn’t wait very long before our starters came out which were amazing. Then we had our mains & then dessert. The quality of the food is fabulous & the atmosphere is brilliant. There was a large table in & a few others celebrating birthdays but we didn’t find the wait for food very long at all. The waiters & waitresses were attentive & quick. I’m sure this is a family run business & they have owned it for a very long time. The standards are high & the service is great. We had a perfect evening. Would highly recommend.

   1st time trying here and came on a friends recommendation. We were booked in for 7pm and it was very busy so had to wait a little for our table but our orders were taken while waiting and once we were seated our food wasn’t long before it was served. We all had something different and we all enjoyed. The decor made you feel you were sat in a taverna. However I did think it could have done with having a little spruce up. The staff were pleasant and friendly and I believe we spoke to the owner who gave us a limoncello with our bill. All in all a lovely evening out.

   If there were more stars, I would be rating this higher - lovely family trattoria feel, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and were amazing with the kids. The steak is second to none as was the rest of the food and our daughter loved being accompanied to the ice cream stand! There simply isn’t a better Italian Restaurant around here for miles! - and very reasonably priced too! Sorprondente!

   Great for a fun night out. Decent food & decent portions! We got free limoncello for the birthday girl which was a lovely gesture. It was absolutely jam-packed which shows it's popularity but it sure was noisy! Will go back mid week for a pizza! X
