   We went to Cromwells for Sunday lunch today and I can’t praise them enough.. the service was great and the Sunday lunch was delicious. I had the pork and my partner had the beef. Both came with a good selection of vegetables that were very tasty, on a bed of celeriac mash with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a jug of gravy. I would definitely recommend and we will back to eat there again.

   I went for a meal with my son on Sunday. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were polite and attentive and there were many other customers also enjoying Sunday lunch. I met the manager Ash, who personally took care of us and was a really nice guy. If you want excellent food, in a lovely setting then I truly recommend that you pay Cromwell’s a visit. I have already made another booking and am looking forward to another very enjoyable experience

   Met family for a quick lunch. Pub wasn’t too busy, it was 12 but was filling up when we were leaving. The beef burger was pretty standard but the chunky chips were delicious. Staff were nice and friendly and the pub was clean so all in all we would go back.

   Lovely pub in a nice location. The food was excellent, good portions & really well presented. The interior of the pub is very traditional. The staff were friendly, helpful & polite. There is a good selection of beers. The menu isn't overly complicated, but it does give a varied choice.

   We had a very warm and friendly welcome on our visit. The service was good, and the food hot and fresh with very decent sized portions for the price, especially the very good value lunchtime menu. We will definitely be visiting again.

   Love the new refurb - very light and airy with a friendly atmosphere. Great to have all live sport back in the local pub too! Had the Philly steak sub - great value (£9). Service was fantastic, Billie was great!

   We went to Cromwell's for a Sunday lunch last week with my wife and two boys. She ordered a pork roast, I chose a cheese & bacon burger. We were both disappointed with her meal : her pork was a thick, fatty slab as opposed to the usual thin slices you usually get ; she asked for the included apple sauce twice ; it finally arrived - when she had finished her pork. I was informed that the kitchen had run out of bacon, so my burger would be a simple cheeseburger ; no substitution was offered (NB : there is a coop literally next door to the pub, I feel someone could have run in to get some bacon). The patty was gristly, and the burger was nothing special : a slice of tomato, some lettuce, some sauce and a slice of American cheese. We definitely won't go again.

   We were ravenous and called here at lunchtime today looking for a quick bite to eat. The outside space looked great and the interior did also, however that is where the positives end. Other tables seemed to be getting service but ours not once. Ordered fish, chips and peas. Also sausage and mash. It arrived in a timely manner. The slim fish, skin on, was poor indeed, the peas dry, the small quantity of chips decent. Sausage & the mash average, small amount of undercooked 'caramelised' onions. The gravy was very poor. I had to drown that meal in ketchup to get through it. No check back, like I previously said, no table service whatsoever. We had to approach the bar to pay, even at this point we were not asked how our meal was. Could not recommend.
