   Great local pub in Methley, beer kept superb, usually 4 cask on , pale through dark. Murphys and Guinness on aswell as selection of Lager and cider. Great locally sourced food menu , check daily for availability. Love sports tap room, woodburner in lounge fantastic in winter. Events on regularly to cater for locals and those further a field. Don't be shy making this a stop on your list of places to go.

   Amazing meal this evening. Despite problems with the water supply in the village there was more than plenty to choose from the ‘limited’ menu. Emma even called beforehand to let us know. Excellent hospitality. We will definitely be back.

   Went on a Sunday to a casual double celebration for one of my wife's work mates leaving do and the boss welcoming her first grandchild. The weather was good so we took ourselves outside into their extremely well laid out beer garden. I drank the Wainwright Yorkshire Gold which was eminently quaffable. Each time served by staff who are good at what they do and don't keep you hanging about. The landlady even tipped us off about getting a hold of a pizza, so several of our party ordered. All in all we enjoyed a lovely evening with excellent company in a great little village pub. What's not to like.

   Mark and Emma are lovely people. Just had a video call from them checking up on the old folk which we thought was so nice in these difficult times. We know that they are people who we could turn to at anytime. Cant wait to return to the Commercial for a few drinks and a catch up. Lots of love Nick and Diane xx
