We enjoyed a couple of pints and a bite to eat at the Boot & Shoe and was not left disappointed. The pizzas were fantastic (we went for the spicy one), the topped fries were tasty and fresh and the chicken tenders were gorgeous! The interior of the pub is relaxing and welcoming and we shall return very soon. Our only slight negative was the wait for each plate, we expected all 3 dishes to be brought at the same time, instead having to wait 15 minutes from pizza to fries, and then a further 10 for the tenders. The waiting staff did apologise and it didn't take away from our lovely visit. Weve been before where live music was held outside too which made a brilliant atmosphere.

I'm giving this place one star because I have to. Honestly, the service was terrible. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. But the worst part? I was kicked out for absolutely no reason! I wasn't causing any trouble, but they still decided to throw me out, just because I forgot my id when I have come to this pub plenty of times with my id, baring in mind three of my friends had their id, kids are allowed to sit in the pub there is no need to kick me out for it!!!! Save your time and money and go somewhere else where they treat their customers with respect.

No WiFi at the moment and service was a bit slow when ordering drinks at the bar. But other then that reasonably priced: Β£11.10 for a bottle of peroni zero, a pint of Coca Cola, a pint of lime and soda and 2 packets of nuts. Nice outdoor seating when itβs a sunny day plus live music as well and great atmosphere/ very well cleaned and tidy, well looked after.

Very warm welcome, big pizzas at fair prices, drink fairly priced also. The whole pub and grounds has been renovated to a very nice old/modern look standard. Definitely will return

We dropped in after visiting nostel priory, they were very busy but squeezed us in and even let us order food even though they had just stopped serving. The lady in charge was lovely, friendly and very helpful, to top it off the wood fire pizza was beautiful, I would definitely come again.

Had Sunday dinner and was disappointed that the beef was a reheated cold cut. Certainly not what you'd expect as a Sunday roast. The business seems to be more into selling pizzas. My son-in-law's who had the pizzas thought they were good.

Nice place, met up with family, outside entertainment which was good, food was excellent. Even met a girl who leaves the tags on and sends them back after she's warn them!! Very popular apparently down there !
