Looks nice, but appears to have closed down. Sign in the window looking for tennants. Car park blocked up.

Manor Inn in Wakefield is a delightful pub with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior decor is particularly appealing, creating a cozy setting that’s perfect for conversations between friends rather than loud music and phone usage. This thoughtful design fosters a relaxed and enjoyable environment for socializing. The service is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Manor Inn stands out for its emphasis on comfort and creating a welcoming space for meaningful conversation. Overall, it's a charming visit if you're nearby and looking for a pleasant pub experience in Wakefield.

A very old pub that was shut for quite a while, now reopened after a brilliant full refurb. Large, dog friendly, front beer garden area, needs more tables and chairs but I understand they're coming. Highly recommend the organic lager. Will definitely be calling again on our next long walk.

I appreciated that mobile phones are not appreciated unless paying for drinks, but the place lacks atmosphere. No food on offer, limited drinks, no background music. Pretty to visit and popular with older, local residents. Beautifully decorated and the lavatories are clean and well designed. Just feels a little sterile and un-welcoming.

This was my first visit after it had been totally refurbished and I have to say the pub looks amazing! No expense has been spared on the renovations and fittings, it really has a 5 star look. The landlord was welcoming and chatty but the place lacked some atmosphere as there were only a few people in but this is what the Sam Smith pubs are striving for, moving away from electronic distractions and back to good old conversation. There was even a sign behind the bar with a large red cross through mobile phones, I did joke when I went to get a round in that as phones were banned then I couldn't pay for my drinks, obviously there was an exception made. I bet what they are trying to achieve but I think times have moved on and the mindset of Sam Smith should move with it, maybe not to the extent that a lot of pubs have but this may attract more clientele in. Over all I enjoyed my visit and will go back, it just won't be my regular.
