   Like all North Bars, it has friendly, knowledgeable staff, a solid selection of beers, and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. I’m a regular here and don’t see that changing anytime soon.

   Nice bar by the main road. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Plenty of seating upstairs. There's only one unisex toilet which I guess could be problematic when it's busy. Northern brewery beers only on tap so choice is slim to none if you like lager and not ales. Not something I would pick for my continental taste buds. Quite pricey as well so can't give more than 4 stars.

   Just a "give us your money and we do not care about the rest, we do not care about you" business. Left only after the third sip from my beer and never done so in my life before. Downstairs was so full that it was impossible even to stand by the bar. I went upstairs, picked a table, left my stuff went downstairs again and got a beer. Here comes the point. I got a beer, i paid for the beer and immediately told that they are closing upstairs so i should have my beer downstairs. Downstairs where?? Standing in between 3 tables of other customers!! You dont have a one person space even by the bar! And why -just why- i was not informed before buying my beer? As i said give us money and we dont care about the rest business. I am a local. Never going there again.

   Compact bar opening onto the street in Chapel Allerton. Good range of drinks. It was noisy, though. Not sure what can be done about the acoustics, and many people probably wouldn't mind, but chatting amongst our group of 3 wasn't helped by the noise level. Other than that, it's a pleasant venue, good atmosphere, individual, interesting and a bit quirky. Often busy - it appeals to a wide range of locals.
