Got dinner here with my brother for his birthday. Excellent selection of Cascaβs and a full bar. I had a few beers and the fish and chips β the fish and chips was extraordinary, I would even go as far as to say it was some of the best Fish and chips Iβve had in my entire life. Overall, I would totally go back and highly recommend it. As a bonus, this place is a really spooky haunted type vibe β squeaky floors, all the old rooms appear to be old bedrooms, or something of the sort, and have a lot of character. Eat and drink here!

A traditional British pub with a historic decor. The staff and the food both were top notch. It was raining when I visited and the ambiance just elevated my entire experience. The price is a bit on the higher side but thatβs understandable based on the quality and portion sizes. Excellent choices of beer, but again a bit heavy on the wallet. The toilets have seen better days and are in dire need of a revamp. Nevertheless, 10/10 recommended and will come back again when in Leeds.

Second stop on our Kirkstall Road pub crawl from 15/2/25. First time in what is a fairly legendary pub and has been used for filming various dramas etc over the years (which is why we wanted to come, looked ace!) Very happy with it! The dΓ©cor on the atmosphere inside is EXACTLY what I like in a pub. The history of the place has not suffered much at the hands of unnecessary modernity and many period fixtures and fittings remain - it must have been quite grand in it's heyday! Beer choice was very good and I wasn't left choosing the best of a bad crop. We didn't dine but the food looked and smelled very good and appeared reasonably priced. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Could happily have stayed all afternoon/evening. If this were in the city centre it would be one of THE places to go but that said it may have been 'updated' had it been so. We will be back!

My favourite pub of all time, the best pub in Leeds. Gorgeous architecture inside and out, its traditional furnishings are remarkably original. A dynamic array of draught beers and ales that are regularly refreshed over the course of the year. The fact it's framed in my living room says it all.

Had Sunday lunch here, and it was excellent. Staff very friendly and polite. Old Victorian pub with a lot of original decor... A nice selection of real ales by Kirkstall Brewery... Two Vegan/Vegetarian options available as well as Roast Beef and Belly Pork... Pub is also dog friendly. The only con was the lack of a disabled toilet... This didn't stop me awarding 5 stars... Would definitely recommend/return

A beautiful pub with an interesting selection of beers and good food (with plenty of veg options). The rooms are furnished with vintage signs and original architectural featuresβeasy to while away the time with a few pints just enjoying the atmosphere! Dog friendly too.

A destination pub! Great ales, great food / bar snacks. I love the multi roomed layout, the carpeted floors, the well kept ales. I will come again.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a Sunday roast as much as I enjoyed the Sunday roast at Cardigan Arms in Kirkstall. This was exceptional. As I walked in there were 3 people in front of me they had a table booked, luckily, it wasn't overly busy and one of the very friendly staff asked the chef if he would allow a walk in, (me) to which very thankfully he said yes. I ordered the Lamb Sunday roast, was served very quickly by another friendly and helpful member of staff, food came quickly (about 10 minutes wait) and I couldn't believe how much flavour there was. Looking at it, it didn't look like the sort of thing you'd get at say a Toby Carvery, and that was a very good thing, presentation and flavour 10/10. This chef deserves a Michelin star if he doesn't already have one or two of them, which would surprise me if he didn't. I enjoyed it so much, I did something I've never done before, I bought the chef a drink. I would highly recommend visiting Cardigan Arms, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and it's a very nice atmosphere inside. Amazing! (Edit. Just for the record, I'd already started tucking into the food before remembering to take a picture. Presentation was better than it looks in the picture. My fault)
