   A fantastic village pub with the best landlords, Andy and Sarah. Always a friendly and welcoming place. The pub has a huge, well-kept beer garden great for the summer months.

   What's not to like? Unspoiled just as a pub should be where the only noise is conversation. Superb beer, friendly staff. Some of you may be wondering why I've rated 'food' as five stars.........Simple, delicious free pork pie on the bar. The Star is an oasis in a desert, a 'one off' traditional pub, long may this continue.

   This pub is awesome, very welcoming staff and locals. Wish we lived closer. Repeated visit required for every one, this is a proper pub.

   This Sam Smiths pub is like walking back in time on so many levels. The decor is lovely. Their policy is cash only, no mobile phones, and no music, which allows for much more relaxing conversations if that's what you want. The beers and lagers are spot on and not expensive like many hostelries these days. The staff are very welcoming and the beer garden looks out on to open fields. Dogs allowed outdoors only. No food.

   Lovely pub great landlord and landlady very disappointed that now NO dogs allowed we walk our dog and call in for a drink on our way home very sad would have been 5 stars if dog had been allowed.

   This lovely village pub is such a nice place to visit, there is always a friendly welcome not only from the people behind the bar, but also a warm welcoming fire in most of the rooms. In Summer months there is a nice beer garden at the rear and a good size car park within the pub grounds. I just hope this pub will still be there after lock-down.

   Moved into village 3 years ago, me, other half and dogs made to feel welcome straight away. Best pub around, really friendly. Lovely fires and friendly people both sides of bar.
