   Lovely village pub with a vibrant atmosphere! Often have live music and a lovely warm fire in the winter months. Plenty of outdoor seating to be enjoyed during the summer!

   Took my brother in law and his wife there on a Saturday late afternoon and the Pub was packed with the local football team and fans. The atmosphere was great. The lads were loud but they were all well behaved. My brother in law was particularly impressed. He said he wished there was a place like this in Carlisle were he lives. He said we will have to call again next time they come down. He also was impressed by the Blond bitter.

   Nice little pub. Had a couple of Ossett Brewery cask ales on. Just popped in for a drink on an evening walk. Will probably visit again. Fairly quiet inside on a Wednesday evening. Few people in watching the Football. Plenty of outdoor seating out front with tables too.
