We often have lunch at Dick Hudsons and the food and service have been good. Today it was excellent. The lasagne meal and pork chop dish were tasty and well cooked. Melissa was our waitress. She was so quick, friendly and efficient. Even though she had lots of tables to serve, she had a lovely smile for everyone.

Excellent service - Jess has been fantastic. 5 star service! The food is absolutely delicious (but not cheap), and made for a PERFECT Christmas treat. The pub is lovely, with log fireplaces and spaces suitable for dogs. An absolute delight and we can't wait to come back!

We ate here on a Saturday evening and had a range of dishes from the main menu, weekend menu and the children's menu. Melissa was attentive and timely when taking our orders; appreciated with 2 young children. Highlights were the pie, the pork belly and the duck breast. The puddings were all delicious too. Apparently the raspberry sponge pudding on the children's menu was "the best pudding I've ever had." The views of the fireworks across the valley were very impressive too.

What a lovely find on our way home . First thoughts walking in was the friendly welcome from the staff. Food was pretty good too. The Beef Shin on the bone was very nice and melted in your mouth. Tried my daughter's Hunters Chicken and that was pretty nice too. Not my personal go to as I'm not a big fan of barbeque sauce but still it was nice. Nice pint and a meal in a relaxing atmosphere out of the wet and cold. Highly recommend this place if you are passing

Lovely pub, in a beautiful location. The pub is characterful inside. Table service was very good. We gave our drinks order & given time to view the menu. The food was excellent, as well as the desserts. Highly recommended.

We visited to celebrate an 80th birthday. Service was friendly, not rushed and attentive. My beef shin in Miso butter, roast carrots, dauphinoise potatoes and greens was tasty. When we booked we said we had a disabled guest and on arrival we were put at a perfect table. Everyone said their starters and mains were delicious. Decor is welcoming and the setting is lovely. There is also plenty of outdoor seating as well.

We stopped here on a lovely warm afternoon. The location is out of the way which gives it the benefit of the beautiful views surroundings you as you sit outside. The food and drinks menu was great and the staff were very friendly and polite overall. The outside has a great seating area, full of benches, tables and chairs and stunning scenery. The inside is really cosy and warm, with some lovely private seating areas, great for a catch up with friends. The only downside I would say is that a lot of the outside seating was covered in bird poo, which I guess is difficult to tackle, lets be honest. However maybe some cleaning wipes left outside somewhere would be really great?
