Nothing had prices. Hardly any staff around. Lots of boxes and stock just dumped all over the place. No one to ask about prices. Backpacks were really high up on the shelves, to the point you need to ask someone to get it down but there was no one to ask. Disappointed.
Noone around to get shoes. When arrived had a terrible attitude like we had disturbed her break. Went to.pay and the rudeness. Also heard same girl asking someone if they were trying on or not. Customer service was non
Customer service is absolutely terrible. Found trainer that I wanted to buy. No staff to enquire for the other matching trainer. I went to pay desk when a female assistant dragged her self over & asked me to wait in the shoe area. Waited, no assistant came girl assistant still at pay desk with no interest serving me no one else around . Walked out . Never again will I try to shop there.
Bought a pair of shoes online paid for next day delivery and it took them 2 days to bring me my order and they delayed the order and proceeded to not tell me why.
Staff are way more helpful and professional than the shower at the Widnes store. Changed my faulty trainers without batting an eyelid unlike Widnes who basically called me a liar to my face.
This sports direct store is set on a retial park so there are many other stores to visite whilst here. Inside the store is very large and organised into men, womans and childrens very clearly. The walls are filled from top to bottom with shoes, clothes and equipment. They often have sales available on different style of shoes. However this store only seems to store 1 size of each shoes at its location so offer sizes are not available. The store is very large and there is a lot to look through. However there are not many staff members normally around so asking for help can take some time. Once you do find a staff member they are alway willing to help. There are loads of equipment available for many different sports at this store. Sports direct also offer a dilivary and click and collect service. The click and collect allows you to pick up an item from the store however they still charge you the £5.99 delivery fee that makes it seem pointless.
The store is large, and organised the same as any sports direct: shoe and textiles and in the textiles its split between gender and age; purpose and then brand. Admittedly the store is over crowded with stock, and it is difficult to manoeuvre a wheelchair at the front. However, if you ask a member of staff (usually there is one at the front) they will move stands for easier access. Stock is placed very high, though self-help hooks are available for customers to use, and usually staff will help you out (if they're available). Unfortunately, like all Sports Directs, it is often under staffed, though Honestly some of the complaints about staff are utterly ridiculous. I've been many times and frequently purchased from the store and staff have always been perfectly polite (where appropriate). If anything staff are only rude when customers are rude to them. I recently witnessed one instance where this one girl stood and listened to a customer's tirade for over fifteen minutes (politely ask him to move after she'd served him, so she could serve others- he didn't) before- nearly in tears- she snapped back that if the customer had a problem with staff he should bring it up with the manager (which clearly she wasn't), and explained that she was not her to be yelled at, for any reason. She indicated who her manager was, and said if the customer now had a problem with her too, then he should also tell the manager. After he left, she turned to the couple in front of me and apologised for both the incident and the wait. When she served me, she did the same and I assured her that it was not a problem. Seriously the biggest problem in this store is OTHER customers, they're usually rude or ignorant and will deliberately cut in or interrupt staff as they are dealing with other people. Best to avoid at peak times as this is usually when the worst customers are in store.
