   Visited for the first time last night. Has to be the friendliest pub I've visited in years. Lovely friendly young ladies serving behind the bar. The Chef welcoming and introducing the specials on the menu that night. Warm and comfortable bar with a good selection of ales. Even brought out some pizza to share for the customers later that evening. Definitely returning soon.

   I had a great visit to The Sun Inn. Even though it was quiet when i came the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly, and the food did not disappoint. I tried the pepperoni pizza, which was tasty with a nice crisp base and a nice taste of pesto. It hit the spot for pub food. The real star of the visit, though, was meeting Boris, the well-fed and very handsome beagle who’s clearly the true landlord here. He made the whole experience even more memorable and added so much charm to the place. Overall, a lovely pub with good food and a fantastic four-legged host. I’ll definitely be back!

   The staff and owners were on the ball all night. Never stopped as soon as a glass was empty or a plate finished it was cleared away. Always checking everything was OK and if you needed a another drink or anything. Food was very good compliments to the chef. Will definitely be going back.

   Such incredible generosity from the staff and their patrons! We stopped by for a quick lunch on our way back to Newcastle from the airport. Not only was the food and service amazing, when the staff found out we had just picked up someone from Ukraine who we are hosting they made her feel extremely welcome and insisted on paying for our meal. We all felt emotional on leaving and we’re very thankful we happened to stop at here!

   The food is absolutely amazing !!! Me and my husband eat there when ever we have a chance and we have never had a bad meal. Staff is really friendly and so is Lance the owner of the place. Pub itself has a lovely warm decor with a lovely fire , perfect for autumn and winter evenings ☺️

   I asked the Sun Inn to provide a buffet and it was the best buffet I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying in the UK. Before I booked my event, I ate lunch here and it was delicious (peppercorn chicken). I have since been back fro my 3rd time and enjoyed a gourmet burger and a few beers while speaking to locals on the outside terrace. This is a fantastic gastropub. Well worth the visit. Lance and his staff make everyone feel very welcome.
