   A lovely old traditional pub. Charm, great service, lovely atmosphere, a log burning fire, they encourage cash only which we prefer and, a very cosy oldie world step-back-to better-times, from the state Britain has become.

   Out by Pellon on the edge of town, it's a simple small backstreet boozer with its cast of regulars and banter, but friendly. The first guy to chat to me was welcoming. 2 cask pumps, currently Ossett Yorkshire Blonde which I can normally take or leave, but it's £3.20 a pint! Remember it's CASH ONLY here! I barely had enough and was down to my coppers. Enjoyed the atmosphere and environment, quite cosy. If you like a Halifax pub like the The Big Six it'll worth the trip out. Support your locals!

   Excellent old fashioned pub which looks closed from the outside but is packed when you walk in - good ale and friendly staff- these places are a dying breed and need to be kept alive - definitely worth a visit if youre in Pellon
