Holy smoke! Now, food wasn't a thing on a rainy Monday night, however, when myself and my esteemed colleague of Keighley fame crossed the threshold into the warmth and welcome of the Boltmaker's open arms, we furnished ourselves with an excellently kept pint of classic Landlord accompanied by the 'hard to top' Uncle Albert's Barnsley Pig Scratchings - I thought I had everything I needed to soothe my wounds of the past few weeks of employment horror stories... But no, what's this? I notice a series of ominous glass jars on the back bar containing pickled eggs... But not just any pickled eggs, like generic chip shop pickles, these look different, and sure enough as I'm ticking over in my mind, the charming and homely landlady states that "she's been at the couldron again"... These are home pickled, masterclass pickled eggs! I take 2 as I must try the Christmas Special, which I think to myself "This can't work? Can it!?"... "Sage and onion!" the landlady states with the swoosh of an outstretched arm and a glint in her eye! I must try one then... Holy ghost! It... Is.... Sensational!! It not only 'works', but is culinary sorcery!! Perfect beer, incredible pickled eggs! I will be back here with an entourage!! Thank you for making my day, week, probably month!

Saturday 4th September 2025 This is by far one of the best real ale pubs in Keighley a virtually full range of Timothy Taylors real ales on offer on today/including some really obscure brewed ales that the Brewery brews This comfortable 1 roomed pub on 2 levels is a regulat haunt of appreciative well spoil ken intelligent real ale drinkers today the barstaff was very polite and knew what she was doing. When drinking real al in Keighley this real ale pun with 8 hand pulled real ales is an Essential visit

Just out for a drink? It's the best pub in the world and it's a close walk from Keighley station. A word of warning, customers are friendly and will talk to you and 20 people will pack the place out.

A brilliant traditional pub. We found it after an ace trip on Keighley Worth Valley Steam train , found the staff and the locals very friendly and the beer was great too! Thanks for looking after all of us while we waited for our coach.
