Went into the pub and found that i had to scan a qr code to access gluten free menu so i scaned code but the menu would not load i went up to the bar and explained i was having a problem with the menu loading and the man behind the bar was so rude and unhelpful and not prepared to offer any assistance. I sat down and told my husband he then tried to load the code and the same happened would not load he then went to the bar and explained the issue at first the man tried to dismiss him as well until he told him we had paid 9.50 for parking and if we did not eat there we would loose the parking rebate so the man then gave him a tablet for me to pick a meal. I picked a gluten free burger and was then told even though i had ordered gluten free he would not guarantee this. His whole attitude was awful and i feel i was being spoken down to. This man had no customer service skills and made my visit stressful also not impressed i was made to feel so uncomfortable and discriminated against because of my diet needs. The big chain pubs have a lot to learn from smaller pubs that offer a far better experience.

Greene King always have decent cheap food with good vegan options. Β£12.99 for two nice mains midweek is really good value. Edit- I've been hit by a Β£100 fine for not paying for parking!! I saw no signs and what sort of pub charges for parking and doesn't even attempt to inform you.... Avoid these scammers

A large pub, dog friendly & has got sky sports! Has a large outdoor sitting area. Customer service spot on. I was a in a party of 6 people on Sunday 7th September. 5 of us had a roast dinner, ( has a vegetarian option) and a pudding of choice costing Β£12 each which was very good value. 1 had a curry and said it was nice. If you have a car you have to pay Β£5.50 for 2 hours or Β£3.50 for 1 hour, BUT, you redeem at the bar when ordering and is taken off your bill. I assume people were parking in thr pub car park when visiting the hospital which is across the road. Don't do half pints on pints, which is different. Overall I had a good laugh with my family and the food was good, so I can't complain. Booking a table for a few people is recommended. Access with deep steps, you would need to contact the pub if there is a disabled access.

Drove up from London and stayed nearby. We came in as it looked good as we drove passed it earlier in the day. Food was great. Vicki the waitress was friendly and happy, attentive and most of all up for a laugh, she made our evening. Definitely worth a vist. Hope you get her as your waitress.

I have been coming here since before I was allowed to buy alcohol- a glass of pop was my order back then! The menu and decor have changed a lot but the welcoming atmosphere remain the same. The food is always great and well- priced with a nice selection. It always is hot and fresh and served with a smile.. There is a particularly goof variety of bottled drinks but less on draught. I notice there is a great choice of soft drinks for drivers, kids and non- drinkers but no hot drinks. Entertainment is often most obvious at Bank Holidays when there is usually a DJ outside and some sort of decor and a bit of a carnival atmosphere. There are now many tables in the grounds, some covered in case of rain. It makes it a large capacity pub, and it does get very busy at times. It is notable that to park in the car park you need to ( not 100% sure?) speak to staff for proof of purchase as people try to park there when they are visiting Doncaster Royal Infirmary opposite. It is a great place to have there after a stressful appointment at the hospital or to grab lunch before or after an appointment. Don't quote me on the parking rules!!

Hope you take this has constructive criticism and not negatively as we eat here all the time and have some lovely meals. We came for Sunday lunch for the first time to give it a try. Firstly the menu said green beans but we got sprouts instead. While I understand that some changes have to be made, it would benefit both the staff and customers if this information was relayed on ordering to avoid disappointments and choice. While I don't mind sprouts my husband can't stand them anywhere near his food and he could of said he didn't want them. I love them but couldn't even cut through them as they were much too hard. Also we didn't get any gravy with it and had to ask for some. This was so thick that you couldn't pour it onto your lunch. We got little pots of mint sauce without anything to spoon it onto the lunch with. Mint sauce is different to other sauces that can just be poured over your lunch it needs to be spooned over it in little drizzles. I'm sure if these little tweaks were rectified then it would make for a perfect lunch. Unfortunately for us it has put us off coming back for Sunday lunch but will still eat out in the week with no complaints about the rest of the food. Did you read this review because your answer suggests that you haven't understood the message portrayed.

We attended a 30th birthday meal recently in which 24 of us were booked for a meal. The service was excellent and the food came out without any issues. The staff were so accommodating and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was lovely too. Highly recommend for a good get together with family and friends.
