Attended A&E last night on the advice of NHS 111. On arrival after checking in I was triaged straight away. Nurse spoke to the out of hours GP to see if they would see me. I was called in by them within minutes. Prescription supplied and leg dressed and was out in under 40minutes of arrival. The Dr I saw was exceptional and the nurse who looked after me for a dressing was just as exceptional. I was thrilled with the service provided. And hopefully on the road to recovery. many thanks to all the staff who dealt with me :)

I attended A&E twice this week in a lot of pain. On the second visit early in the morning when the issue was properly identified the support was fantastic Every single individual was so friendly and comforting. It is not easy being in pain and not properly understanding why so that, for me, was very stressful. But thank you all at Macc A&E.

My elderly father recently was admitted to Macclesfield hospital, he had gallbladder and lung problems so spent lots of time during his time at the hospital in the radiology department, he is old, frail and was incredibly nervous and said he was seen by a lovely staff member called Chris, my dad said he was a very cheery chap and made him laugh and explained everything so he fully understood so made him feel relaxed about the whole experience. I sadly live in another country so was far away so for me to know my dad was properly cared for means the world to me so big shout out to Chris (sorry no surname) from Radiology from the bottom of my heart a great big THANKYOU you are a credit to Macclesfield Hospital

This is the only hospital I will attend. for these reasons: The doctors, nurses and staff are very friendly and caring. They put you at ease. Although waiting times can be long.. and they are always very busy.. they update you at every stage and take time to explain test results and answer your questions. The hospital is clean comfortable and staff will go the extra mile... With patience and understanding of individual needs. Not just staff doing their job. Everything is done to a high standard and throughly. While attending A+E.. Sat in the main waiting room.. staff bring tea or coffee, sandwiches, soup to those waiting. This level of care is amazing! Well Done Macclesfield Hospital. And to all the impatient people attending ... who only complain about everything. Look around observe what you see ... and how busy staff, nurses, doctors are... while doing their best for you! Put yourself in their shoes before being abusive. How would you feel ? Appreciation goes along way. If attending A+E .. expect it to possibly be 8 hours .. depending on your issue and tests that need to be done .. and for results to be received. To provide you with the best health care. They are not miracle workers! They are simply doing their best... FOR YOU! under very demanding circumstances.

What a wonderful place to be poorly in - having had a terrible experience earlier in the year at 'another hospital' in the next Borough I can't praise the Team in A+ E enough. Particularly Katie Frost in Reception, Marius, Oliver and Babatunde for their kindness and respect shown to my Brother - who had a nasty fall due to his Parkinson's - through to Dr Alasdair Marshall who again was so professional and personable. We arrived by Ambulance at 2pm and it felt like checking into a Hotel - even waiting until 10pm for the Doctor to be able to see Chris we never felt neglected or dismissed. Thank you showing that kindness, patience and understanding goes a very long way to make a horrible experience that bit easier Amanda - Sister of Patient Wednesday August 13th

So grateful to all the staff here - I visited A&E and was seen incredibly quickly (even though I came over the Christmas period when I can imagine staffing is difficult). The receptionist, nurse and doctor were all brilliant, very kind and empathetic. A big thank you!!

I'm grateful for the NHS, and I appreciate that they are currently very underfunded and nurses and hospital staff are very underpaid, but a job is a job. There is no excuse when it comes to patient care, especially when you have people in agony in the waiting rooms, and patients that are extremely uncomfortable. The staff were rude and unprofessional, most were just standing around having conversations with each other (not about patients). Even asking nurses for help is difficult. They roll their eyes and act so reluctant to help with even the smallest things, such as helping to find a wheelchair. It is an understatement to say that this hospital deserves even 1 star. Of course, there are still a minority of staff that still have passion for this line of work, and still show empathy towards patients and act professionally, but I can only say that to a select few.

This place is an utter disgrace. Went on Saturday after sustaining a sporting eye unjury, waited 5 hours with many people in front of me. No pain relief given and communication non existent. Nurse was rude and couldn’t be bothered. Left and went to Manchester Royal eye hospital where the experience was far more professional. Turned out I had bleeding in the eye ball, high pressure and corneal abrasion over a 3rd of the eye. Leaving people sat there in agony is totally unacceptable. Everyone running this place should be ashamed of themselves. I will never return

Amazing experience with my 15 year old son. Jester was so good with him (and me) and is a credit to the hospital. Dr Tom was kind, compassionate, thorough and professional. We are so lucky to have the NHS and these excellent professionals. Thank you for everything you do for us in challenging circumstances and an underfunded system

Very very busy A&E when I arrived I had a very long wait due to this (20hours) and they struggled to find a bed. Everyone was working their socks off and remaining professional despite the pressure they were under. When I was admitted on ward they lovely with me. All round brilliant staff and just to say a very big thank you
