Was in Papworth for ten days, complex heart surgery could not have been treated better, the whole team were awesome. I'm back on my feet now and getting around, thank-you to everyone who had my back up there, from the surgeons to the sweet guy who brought me tea and watched Frasier with me, it meant a lot, you are all awesome. God bless you all.

I am sat in a Ward in Royal Papworth at the moment recovering from a minor Heart op and the staff are marvellous .the hospital is a credit to the NHS and without immigrants it couldn't open its doors. The news media are telling us the NHS isn't working and that the Labour Party who started the NHS cannot run the country.I suppose it comes down to what kind of country you want but sat in the Royal Papworth and having my life saved by a mixture of British Nationals and kind considerate well trained people from all over the world has made my mind up.

Best hospital in the whole world to Me, I went in after giving birth to my son in severe heart failure, ended up needing a heart transplant spent 3 and a half months in total here. The staff are all amazing the surgeons are the best and I cannot fault anything. The effort to make me feel as human as possible through the most traumatic time of my life was the most amazing thing they could have done for me. Not a day goes by here I don’t thank the world for putting me in the best hands possible. Found out it was a genetic condition from birth that never got picked up until I got to papworth. Honestly the most wonderful people and hospital ever. Everyone on my journey was amazing and it’s become a second home. Thank you all at royal papworth and my donor and their family for giving me a second chance at life. Forever grearful for you all! Not all hero’s here capes, ♥️♥️

Nobody really wants to end up having to come here, but if you have to it's a first class place. My wife visits the Lung Defence centre and they are superb. Very attentive nurses, Doctors who listen and are compassionate and excellent treatment options. The building itself is very well designed and fully accessible by wheelchairs etc. The main atrium is light, airy and spacious, and the main reception desk at the centre is large and well positioned. Very impressed with seating and information screens. There is also a piano which is often played by competent staff members at lunchtime, a nice addition.

Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge is truly a level above most hospitals. The staff here are amazing—efficient, friendly, and always ready to help. The doctors, especially those in the transplant centre, are top-notch and provide exceptional care.Communication with family is always available and encouraged. The rooms are comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay for patients. The patient waiting area is well-maintained, though the family room could use some improvements for better comfort. While the cafeteria offers a variety of options, it is quite expensive, and I believe this needs to be addressed by the hospital management. The reception staff are polite and welcoming, and the signage throughout the hospital is very helpful. Overall, Royal Papworth Hospital provides outstanding service and care

I had lung volume reduction surgery by Mr Peryt and his team which are probably some of the best in the UK. I spent the next 6 days and nights on wards 5 south, the nurses and carers cleaners all work so hard to care for patients, a special mention to nurse Freya for her rendition of "I want to break free" most mornings before her shift ended just enlightened the day.
