Had an amazing Sunday beef roast. Meat was perfect, gravy rich and full of subtle delicious herb flavours. Roast potatoes exquisite. Veg perfectly done.. not too soft. Absolutely perfect

Proper old pub (not just old-style pub) with very broad customer base. Dog friendly, great range of beers on tap, decent menu including pies. Visiting with my student son, who swears it's the best pub in Sheffield.

A very cosy and inviting pub. Great service and good value. A good selection of drinks, and very well cooked food at a competitive price. The chips are the best I have ever tasted. I was spoilt for choice when looking through the menu, and there is something for all dietary requirements.

We can't really dudge this pub cause it is always a meeting point for us and friends after uni. I would recommend it for drinks but not for food.

Delicious pub grub at reasonable prices (plus loads of vegan options), & good selection of changing cask ales too. Lovely staff. Very large & nicely decorated interior. Highly recommend!

Traditional pub serving traditional food and beverages. Nice selection of beers and decent Sunday lunch. Not winning any awards for the food - Guinness stew I had lacked flavour and that dark rich gravy you’d expect but was still nice.

Great beer choice, friendly atmosphere, with good food offering. Lovely traditional small pub largely untouched, with a small but attractive outside seating area to the rear which can be a nice sun trap. It is great to see a traditional 2 floor traditional brick built building in the middle of a modern "concrete" neighbourhood!! One thing to note is the main access to the pub may be a little challenging for people with mobility issues (2 steep steps), but I am sure staff would assist if required/asked. Dog friendly as long as owners are well behaved!!!

In the Sheffield Heritage pub guide. A minute walk from the main road. Sadly apart from a few AFC Wimbledon fans it was us and one local. The pub is up for lease. Hope it survives. Had a lovely pint of Adnams Broadside.
