It's a great place. They have some great entertainment. But to ask for a bit more lemonade in your whisky and then be told you have to pay for another lemonade again is an absolute joke. When a round of beers and mixers just cost you £65, and you're paying that much for a whisky and coke, or a gin and lemonade, they should fill your glass to the top. I've owned three pubs; mixers cost nothing.

Great mid week night out, friendly atmosphere, great juke box Bar service, second to none,no waiting,I left it late for a couple of pints but was impressed that as a lone drinker ,there were many people to enjoy a good chat with. Will definitely try this pub again on a week night.its got a 'local' feel to it ,despite being a City centre venue. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into this venue and the very best of luck to the owners !

Had the most awesome 2 days here over the weekend when I travelled up to Sheffield with my friends. John was an awesome barman, very friendly and so we're the rest of the patrons here. Excellent jukebox and good drink selection. Will definitely be up for coming back here again on my next visit.

This place is golden. We wandered in during a birthday night out and were welcomed in, the bouncers telling us there was a DJ upstairs and a band downstairs, free entry to both. The band was playing standard "wedding rock" (more on that later) so we headed upstairs. My friend went and asked the DJ for a birthday shout out and to play Toxicity by System of a Down. The DJ (the infamous "Lez" who has been at it for 50 years) came over with pen and paper a few minutes later and asked us to write down our requests. The pool table was free (and free), there was no queue at the bar, there were some interesting characters, one of whom bought me a Jagerbomb for my birthday - it was great to be part of such a mixed, friendly crowd. Downstairs and the band started playing a few more suitable songs, including the aforementioned Toxicity, at which point the moshpit finally started. Great night, great people and great venue.

We were in Sheffield for the HRH Sleaze festival at the O2 Academy across the road. Yorkshireman beers were better and cheaper and the resident rock DJ kept us entertained well in to the small hours. He actually started his shift mid afternoon so no wonder he was knackered by Sunday evening. Gig venue downstairs which we did not go into. Great atmosphere and staff are superb. It's a rock bar with rock music on the jukie and a rock DJ at weekends ... If you are hoping to hear ABBA or Sheeran don't bother. See you August 2023 Yorkshireman.
