Excellent pub in a nice rural location, with a wide selection of snacks and pub grub. The cheese board is amazing. Good selection of beers both ales and lagers. Friendly service and very good value. Generous portions of quality food. We will return when next in the area. Dog friendly and welcoming. Large beer garden

Lovely country pub with a nice beer garden and great food. In walkable distance for us, and their wide selection of cheese and other great meals are brilliant motivation to get some exercise! We went for lunch on Eater Friday. It was really quiet. We sat outside and although we kept our coats on, it felt really relaxing to be there. We had the smoked salmon and broccoli quiche served with salad and a balsamic glaze dressing. The quiche tasted home made... You can't buy them with that much good cheese on! We also shared a side of chunky chips which were perfectly cooked. We only just managed to finish everything despite having worked up and appetite on our walk. We drank Lilley's mango cider, I swear it tastes better here than anywhere else!

Had a lovely lunch i had the salmon and broccoli quiche dropped a point as very little salmon but still tasty served with homemade slaw and loads of variety salad leaves. Other hand had fish finger cob which was large and hearty with plenty of fishfingers in it served with chips. If you are a cheese lover this is the place for you with a huge choice. Inside is cosy olde world and outside there is a large beer garden with benches and traditional seating with chairs. Small carpark opposite and more round the corner. Really enjoyed our visit and will be going again

Going to rebukes this amazing place again… because it’s awesome! Had a lovely meal, amazing food, lovely staff and a great time overall. I left VERY full but very happy. Go visit, but remember it’s tiny and so is the kitchen, so don’t be one of those annoying people who moans at the staff because you meal has been longer than 5 mins from ordering! It’s a country pub and this is the way it should be. Drink and chat, the short wait will be definitely worth it !! Thanks all !!

We arrived 12.45pm on Tuesday, not many customers. A cosy pub is located at the edge of peak district. later on many customers arrived with their dogs. menu is comprehensive and in reasonable prices. A large selection of cheeses are served. we ordered the beef stew served in bread boule and were delicious. the dessert, apple crumbles with custard was tasty. cheese board was value for money. the owner of this pub also own the travellers rest at Appleknowle.

Quality little country pub with beer garden. The best bit is the opportunity to sample (and take away) their many cheeses! If you like a cheeseboard or ploughmans, this is epic! The people are lovely too.

Very welcoming place. Small and cozy but has a great beer garden outside. The member of staff behind the bar was extremely friendly. The beer was really good and tasty great. A lovely pub to visit a day walking in the Peak District. Can't wait to return.
