“Recently came and visited with my daughter where we sat in the Lakeside calf and had a breakfast together. I'd have to say ordering the food was very, very slow and could have been quicker, but overall the staff are really friendly. The food was really nice and the atmosphere was fantastic. We sat outside where we could see other anglers fishing. It was a beautiful sunny day and it was just really really nice. I highly do recommend if you're not fishing even if you pop down there to have a breakfast or some food”
“What a lovely place. The homemade sausage roll was sensational . One of the very best I've ever had and I've had a lot ! So tasty that I bought another and a quiche to take away. Lovely staff as well.”
“We had our wedding ceremony here and would highly recommend. The barn is gorgeous with a grounds well kept and looking great even during the storm. Everything was well organised and went smoothly on the day, all guests (and couple!) were really happy and had lots of compliments on the venue.”
“Great for children's swimming. Sally is a fantastic and enthusiastic swimming teacher. My 2 year old absolutely loves swimming here. I would love to see more parent and child changing cubicles in the future as it's a bit cramped getting dressed if they are already in use.”
“Well when you have 3 real ale pubs within 50 metres it has to be good!? The Dronfield Arms is another " Brew Pub" home to Tempest Brewery. Casta had one of their Pale Ales.. Rear beer decking next to car park to enjoy a sunny south facing summer afternoon. Somebody knew Casta was a relative of Flat Eric, 1990's Superstar. (Now penniless and living with us!) Pub very close to railway station.”
“Awesome place to go for all ages for drinks and especially the food. There is a kids playground with animals for the young kids. Plenty of parking for the cars.”
“love this little deli located just outside of the train station every time the service is amazing food it hot and is cooked to a lovely standard highly recommend”
“We had the "Small English Breakfast". Food was well cooked, in generous portions and quickly served by very friendly staff. Having eaten the "Small" option, it was hard to imagine how big the "Large" plateful is!! I doubt that either of us could have cleared our plates if we'd ordered the Large!! Highly recommended cafe and we will certainly be back soon!”
“Excellent service and food. Love their cappuccino as it's always a good size and nice and hot”
“We love popping into the magic sunflower, so when planning our wedding we knew we would love them to make our cake. The did a wonderful job, it was beautiful and very yummy. Both flavours (chocolate fudge and biscoff) were a big hit with the guests. They were really helpful adjusting the delivery time in line with our venue. Thank you for being a part of a magical day.”
“Cafe Central is such a delightful spot! I had the Omelette, and it was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The cafe has such a warm, cozy vibe – ideal for relaxing and catching up with friends. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into both the food and the ambiance, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!”
“A great village pub. Punters and staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth a stop if you are local:)”
“Friendly, Cosey, the food is beer only and 2 drinks under £10. dont accept dogs tho.”
“A proper pub . Pie van outside is well worth it. Yummmy”
“I went for lunch today with two friends. Honestly its such a lovely place. We were in the conservatory and it was warm and cosy and had that " loungy" " home from home" feeling. You don't get that in most of the other coffee places in Dronfield. Tables are usually crammed together with uncomfortable chairs. These chairs are upholstered and really comfy...which is fantastic when you have a bad back! The coffee is strong and how coffee should taste..and I am very picky! It was lovely to look out of the window and see beautiful greenery and vibrant coloured flowers...even saw a squirrel. Michael the owner is really friendly and listening to his stories about the history of The Chantry as we were leaving was captivating. I would also feel comfortable going there with a book on my own. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini...really tasty with a side salad and french dressing... If you want an "experience" then I would go here. Its a much welcome change from modern, cold, minimalist places and has a charm that can only come from years and years of history. It's somewhere that ticks the box that no other place round here does. We will be back soon!”

“Popped in yesterday for a couple of beers. Can't believe I've not been in before. 5 Cask beers, several keg offerings, pleasant interior and friendly host. What more could you want. Not scored food as not applicable or atmosphere as it was quiet time of day.”

“Fabulous! We stumbled upon it on a Saturday night and was amazed to see the price of the v good value food on the website menu beforehand. Even more impressed when the food arrived, the quality and standard was fantastic and the bar staff so lovely. Proper homemade food, top quality no skimping on ingredients. Meat packed steak and ale pie, also fisherman's pie full of lots of lovely fish and prawns.”
“We stopped in here today with our dog for breakfast and a drink, and were not disappointed. The pub is clean, the staff are friendly and the food was very nice and great value for money. They even brought out a sausage in a separate bowl for our dog, which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be visiting again.”
