A lovely pub, I called in for a drink and bite to eat about 1230, bar staff were friendly and attentive, I noted my table number (five) and ordered a Pepsi Max (driving later or beer would have the preferred option!) and a cheeseburger with extra bacon. It arrived after about 10 minutes and was presented nicely and the quality was very good, chips well done, the way I like them, burger fresh and tasty and all enjoyably consumed... Hendo's and Sarson's available, always a good sign. Total cost of visit £15.95, so about what you would expect to pay and they take cash as well as all the other payment methods. The Roebuck Tavern on this visit wasn't busy but there was still a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. Would I visit again? Yes, definitely and recommend it.

This place was a favourite of mine in my student days. Returned with the family on Bank Holiday Monday. Lovely food and great drinks selection.

Can't sing the praises enough of this place. Never been before and wanted lunch before the train to Manchester. Varied menu even for a Sunday. Ordered a roast dinner and Fish & Chips. The batter was unreal, unbelievably crispy and the fish was fresh. Portion was perfect but the chips were the highlight. The roast dinner was also cooked to perfection and went down a treat. The pub is really cosy. Will definitely come back when I'm next in Sheffield.

The Roebuck is modern, spacious and has a good atmosphere. Enclosed beer garden and pool tables inside. The place is immaculate throughout with friendly professional staff. I called in for a sunday roast ( they have plenty of other food options on the menu) and wasn't disappointed. Reasonably priced and very nice, the seasoning was spot on. Highly recommend and would return.

Nice little pub with a surprisingly good food selection. Stopped by on a Saturday night when the Whetherspoons were rammed to find the Roebuck not too busy with a friendly atmosphere. Planned to stay for a drink but ended up ordering food - fantastic quality and good portions for the price. I definitely would recommend dropping in here if you're in Sheffield and have an hour or two to kill.

One Friday looking for something to eat, couldn't believe how many other places stopped serving at 2 pm. Had pie, chips and mushy peas, which were great and very reasonably priced. Decent choice of real ale.

Just up from the train station in the uni area. This pub was a good find. Nice decor, good staff. Guest beers at £4 and a very reasonably priced menu. All home made, we had quiche and steak and ale pie, both about £7. Really nice, home made food. The only criticism was the cleanliness. We went on Sunday lunch time and the floor had not been vacuumed. Nonetheless, food was good and reasonable. Just need a cleaner!
