   The best pie of my life. Recommended to me by a local, Nottingham House did not disappoint. I ordered the Guinness and steak pie, my pals ordered the steak and stilton/steak and peppercorn. The meat was fork tender, in fact I couldn’t even get it on the fork without force it was so tender. The gravy - thick and rich. Each chip had its own personality, crisp on the outside, fluffy and delicate on the inside. Not to mention it comes out with a full jug of complimentary gravy. Please see the last pic for how much I enjoyed this meal. Service: Blokey at the bar was friendly, I asked him what his favourite was - the red pepper and ricotta number, which he admitted he had with gravy. I thought this was a bit rogue tbf but fair play. Nonetheless, polite chap who poured a fantastic Guinness (see photo 3). Watch out, I’ll be back.

   Top tier pie! Always consistent. Good pastry! A range of filings. Strong portion of gravy! Get there early as it is a fight for tables as it’s always busy! Amazing value for money - 10/10!

   10 out of 10 simple as that really . Been meaning to try this place on ages and finally got here. Word of warning though arrive early or be disappointed and have to wait . 12:15 pm we are arrived and get pretty much last available table . Never a better sign of quality really is there . Thanks and I’ll definitely be seeing you soon . Top marks from me .

   Food took a while, but was delicious paired with generous portions. Pricing was great for what you get. A good selection of pies and a lovely interior that takes you back in time. The music fits the vibe perfectly. Opted for a steak and ale pie that did not skimp on filling with mushy peas, chips and gravy. The gravy was pleasant and the chips had a crunch exterior coupled with a soft, fluffy interior. The mushy pies were rather bland, but did not take away from the overall meal. A lovely pie and a lovely place to stop by with friends.

   Lamb mince and feta pie with mush and mushy pea. Fairly good in general but didn’t meet my expectations. The seasoning is strong but kind of common, and the pastry has little sense of existence. Worth trying when you’re lazy to cook :)

   Magnificent pie and chips! Today we had the Italian Stallion and Steak and Stilton pies. Really tasty pies come with a generous portion of delicious chips (mushy peas too if you’d like) and extra gravy. The staff are welcoming and helpful, with super service. I highly recommend this place, perfect for Sunday lunch!

   The best place to eat pies and chips. I ate chicken and chorizo pie and it was perfect, a good quality dough and Greta flavour. Chips are the best that I've tried, super crunchy outside and like a mash inside. Good atmosphere and beautiful place. Just the heating was almost turned off but everything was perfect

   Well I got told it was going to be amazing pies which is why Me and a friend went here , the pies were OK but the chicken was in massive massive chunks so I had to pull out the middle to chop down to size.... Just seemed overcooked too as the chicken was chewy.... The pub seemed lovely, clean and the staff very friendly.... Will have to try out again an hopefully next time the chicken pie will be banging. I must add the chips, pastry and gravy were all beaut and on point.
