Excellent service at Halfords Wakefield. I'd gone in for two replacement tyres, which were fitted promptly and efficiently. Previously, my front facing in-car camera had fallen off its mounting. This was fixed and the camera repositioned quickly and at no cost. Outstanding

I booked online a next day 9:30 AM slot to have two tyres replaced (paid and extra Β£9.50 for the slot). Payment was taken via Apple Pay, but I never received a confirmation number or email. I called the garage to make sure my booking went through and was told that my booking didn't exist on their system and that Iβd need to phone customer service to get them to fix it. While I understand the need to resolve the payment issue, my immediate concern was securing the 9:30 slot, as it was still available, so asked to book over the phone with her instead, but the lady I was speaking to was really unhelpful. I was told I couldnβt rebook over the phone as Iβd already ordered 2 tyres online, and if I order again over the phone, there would be 4 tyres arriving at the garage, and that I only need 2 (those were her words). After realising the conversation was going nowhere, I called customer service and decided to cancel and get a refund. Iβll take my car somewhere. When youβre spending Β£240 to have two tyres replaced, there is no need to be spoken to as if you donβt understand basic maths!

We had Β£2,000 to spend on electric bikes but was told I'd have to travel to pontefract to get one of them. Why not ship it to the wakefield branch near where I live. Not possible, so walked out

I have to thank Martin who looked after me from start to finish when I needed a battery for my car replacing. Showed me the options, fitted it and checked everything was OK. Top man and he is an excellent reason for me to go there in the future. 11/10.

Booked our motorhome in for a MOT. In doing so, I checked that they knew it was 7.5 metres long. The day before, Halfords rang and asked if we could postpone the test by one day. I agreed but checked again that they were able to put our motorhome on their ramp. On arrival the guy on reception took one look at the can and said they couldn't do the MOT as it was too long. No apology just a "can't do it". The 30 mile return trip was completely wasted. An absolute shambles !
