We had the best camping trip for two nights, toilets and showers were clean and the showers were nice and hot. With gorgeous views, it really was very relaxing where the children had full use of the open field. The owners were helpful and once checked in, we were left to our own devices. There's pubs and parks all within a 5 minute drive away and a big tesco round the corner too. It is just a shame you can't have camp fires as that would have made the evenings that bit better with smores. But regardless we would still definitely revisit again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing pitch with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, slight inconvenience with another guest pitch however the owners were lovely and very kindly gave us extended checkout for the hassle. Facilities were the cleanest we have ever seen and were very accessible. Large pitches for caravans and tents available. Loads of walks to be able to do around due to the peaks being so close. Plenty of farm shops around and supermarkets are within short distance. Would love to of stayed longer and will be back again for a longer visit.

My friends and I backpacked to this campsite and it was a lovely single night stay. The woman who works there was friendly and polite, showed us to our pitch (which was excellent - flat and really well kept), directed us to the local pub and told us where to find her if we needed anything. There was also a man who kindly brought out a bowl of water for my dog as we waited outside reception to check in. Would definitely return to this site. The rules are the same as all campsites and we had a really peaceful night and left early the next day. Facilities were nice too - free showers and I saw they had a laundry room too. Thank you!

Great size pitches Friendly owners Beautiful area. Our second visit and certainly won't be our last. Lovely woodland walk for us and the doggies.Facilities are good. Nice clean showers and toilets. Separate washing up area that's inside useful in poor weather. Generally peaceful. Can get a bit of noise from the road but can't be helped.

Brilliant place, and the three owners were absolutely pleasant and helpful - couldn't have been better. We arrived on a Wednesday in mid-September and booked 3 nights, loved it so much we booked another night. The lovely lady who greeted us took us to a pitch, we explained that we'd prefer a more remote spot as our 12 month old dog, Monty, can get over-excited around people or other dogs. So she showed us to the separate 5 van spot across the road which was perfect as we were the only ones there (apart from a grouse which came pottering around a couple of mornings!). Some reviews mention strict rules - nothing of the sort, it's just your standard camp site rules, possibly written in a slightly peremptory way but nothing out of the ordinary. Two slight downsides - the road noise from the surprisingly busy B-road alongside, although this is probably less noticeable on the far side of the main field. Secondly, their website hasn't had the prices updated since 2019/20. I didn't expect it to be still £20 per night (its now £24), the website says 'no charge for awnings', but it's now £2 per night - update your website please! Loved it though and can't wait to come back.

The owners/staff of this campsite have absolutely no customer care skills whatsoever and are very obnoxious people, which is a real shame because the location and views are really nice . Avoid at all cost if you have young children. This is not a child friendly site !!! I was absolutely flabbergasted at how we were treated during our recent short stay . From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we felt like we were bullied and made to feel unwelcome. Myself, my wife and kids all felt like we were being watched constantly , which made us all feel anxious and on edge . The whole idea of camping is to have fun , laugh , make memories and let the kids play outdoors games like cricket etc . But not on this campsite , it’s as though they want you all to just sit on your hands inside your tent and whisper to each other for the whole duration of your stay . Not for me thanks We definitely won’t be returning.

We really like this campsite and have been a few times and would definitely return. It is a great location for going for walks along the canal and up to Dovestones or a ride on the bike. It is close enough to walk to a few pubs or along the canal into Greenfield. The only downside to this campsite is that the toilet blocks are all individual with shower and toilet in each. They are very good clean facilities, however it does mean if you need the toilet in the morning you can queue for a long time as people having showers and there are no separate toilets.

Stayed for one-night two weeks ago. Beautiful setting, with a couple of pubs and a supermarket within walking distance in addition to the campsite shop. Wet rooms clean and tidy. Arrived in trepidation after reading some reviews, however all three staff we met were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Rules were reasonable eg no noise after 10 and dogs on leads.

Spent a lovely weekend here. Loved the shop. Jams, fresh milk and butter, Weather was on our side. Views was fab. The wet rooms was reasonably clean. Had a free bird show from a man flying his bird. The owner did say I could go over to him to see the bird, but I was in the middle of our dinner. You can hear a little road noise but that didn't put us off. We will return sometime soon. There is an adult only area but I prefer the main field. Love seeing family happy when their camping. .
