First time at the CAMC site and absolutely loved it. The site team were really welcoming and friendly, facilities were tip-top and it's ideally located in the middle of Burrs Country Park.

Burrs country park. Absolutely fabulous. 10 minute walk from bury town centre. Took our little mother home stated for 2 nights . Very reasonable prices. Had tea at the brown cow. Homemade cheese and onion pie . Gorgeous. You get to see the classic stream trains go bye.

Stayed for the East Lancashire Railway 200 years weekend. Great to be able to watch the trains from your pitch and a short 5 min walk to the unmanned station. Friendly staff with well kept grounds and facilities including excellent showers. Nice walks around the country park with good cosy pub and tea room near the entrance.

Easy access into Bury and a tram to Manchester, country park on the doorstep with cafe and pub. Steam trains passing by for the enthusiast and a recently built station/stop next door.

We stay here regularly but this time we were told standard pitches were fully booked. They weren't! So we booked a fully service pitch for £5 extra s night. Most were taken by motorhomes which don't really need them. Pictures show fully booked empty pitches!?

We class this as our local campsite…… 30 minutes from home! We have stayed here so many times and why?? Because it has everything you need. A good base for exploring or for just relaxing, up to you.. the country park is on your doorstep, which is great for leisurely walks. A pub and little cafe on your doorstep. The East Lancashire Railway has its own station on the edge of the site, watch the steam train go by or even hop on for a trip. Up the road is the cow farm selling ice creams/drinks. The staff at this site are so friendly and have over time put some lovely quirky extras around the site. The grass is immaculate and the pitches are looking great with the new stones added. This is worth a visit, the area can get busy with day trippers mainly summertime and the pub can be a little loud but overall it has a lovely atmosphere.
