Great location. Pricey nowadays. Showers were lukewarm. It's a campsite, not a hotel...upon which Google reviews does not differenciate.

Excellently maintained camping & caravan site. Very popular and can get busy, but the pitches are generously sized and never feels crowded. Toilet and shower block spacious and kept very clean, with decent, warm showers and very efficient hand driers. They've even thought to include multiple hooks in the loos & showers to easily keep everything off the floor. There's a small shop that takes card payments and, stocked with the basics, and the usual things you might forget. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. We'd booked two separate pitches at different times, but arrived together nice and early, and they managed to find two pitches adjacent to each other for us. And all this located in the heart of Dark/High Peak with numerous walks literally starting from the entrance gates. A good range of these walks are also on display, with route details available from staff on request. Finally, just a short stroll away is the first-class Sportsman Inn, also with very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice range of beers, and a good menu. The food was very nice, and they weren't stingy with the portion sizes. Very much looking forward to a return visit next season!

We have travelled all over Europe and this is one of the best maintained sites we've been too. The ablution block is spotless with ample hot water, the staff are friendly and the location stunning with loads of great walks.

Very good small site. Very handy for good walks, majority of time dogs are best kept on leaders as farm animals, but all said still good for them.

Fantastic site. On the flight path for Manchester airport, but not overly noisy. More interesting than anything. Great facilities and superb walks from the site.

We keep going back so must be good. Glamping, pitching or motor home it's great. Shower facilities are great. Also has laundry and drying facilities. Shop is a average considering the nearest supermarket is in glossop so they could make a small fortune from it if it was better stocked but that's about the only negative. Site is lovely as well with pubs and restaurant near by

Gorgeous setting at the foot of Kinder Scout. Andy and the team were so helpful and the site is very well kept with all facilities you could want. Just sorry we didn't stay longer.

Absolutely stunning place. This is our new go to for camping as it's not far and the views driving there and surrounding the camp are amazing with a nice stream running by the camp. It was very windy on our stay as its like being in a valley so a good Eastern breeze felt very strong on this site BUT it was windy everywhere not just here. The staff were lovely and facilities are brilliant and clean!! Campsite is small too so feels a little more secure and a nice little Park for the kids. 15 minutes walk maximum from Hayfield town which has plenty of pubs but i highly recommend you book in for food otherwise you will not get in... and its very pricey... We can't wait to return to this site and you won't be disappointed socially if you live hiking!
