Absolutely great place. We stumbled upon this campsite during a brief motorcycle tour to the Peak District and it’s stunning! The surrounding views are breathtaking, it’s peaceful and set away far enough to feel at peace but just ten minutes from the local town with restaurants, local pumps and supermarkets. The gentleman running the campsite made the stay even better, friendly, welcoming and full of knowledge and great recommendations. This site ticks every box and the facilities are brilliant. Perfect for exploring the moors and the amazing trails. Thanks again!

Remote location, ideally placed for walkers - easy access to the Pennine way from the site. Peaceful and quiet as well back from the main road. Friendly warden. Facilities clean and fully functional at all times. Has a drive over waste for vans. Pitches mostly pretty level and well maintained.

This is a remote Peak District site. Limited phone signal and no kids play areas. It’s a small field on the A628 but has electric hook up and around 30 to 40 pitches and hard standing pitches. You can walk on for a nightly stay and can be family friendly if you’re not expecting a kids club and are willing to get out. Heated shower blocks and washing facilities. There is only 1 takeaway that’s in Glossop they will deliver to the area so set your expectations. If you fancy a hike or two on your doorstep and limited distractions this place is amazing.

Did not enjoy it at all, very crowded. Not much privacy. Camps are too close to each an other. Nothing much for kids apart from go for long walks. Not much space to run around. Not allowed to put the camp fire. Service is very good tho, the person who looks after it , very nice and friendly and will try his best to accommodate within his authority. So defo 5 Stars for him. Would not recommend with young kids.

A well kept, clean campsite. I didn't notice much road noise, although you will get the odd plane going over. The camp is set in a wooded area, so the phone signal will be poor.

Very friendly and helpful nice walks from campsite the only thing is there is no phone signal or Internet. No tv but you can hire a satellite wire for £1 per night.

Never stayed here, I just park up & go walking from carpark, ideal for those who have motor homes or caravans & want to explore the Peaks, though I wouldn't camp near the filtration area, I've walked past & it wasn't bad

Beautiful site in a wooded area not far from a very busy road that can't really be heard. Lovely walks with the dog and stunning peaceful early morning views. Only downside is midges. There is no phone or Internet signals so it is a real get away opportunity.

We love using this lovely site, always found it to be quiet & relaxing. Great jump off point for walking, hiking or just getting to other surrounding attractions like National Trust site. Good quality pitches, some you will need your levelling ramps. Site facilities are kept clean to a good standard

Friendly staff, plenty of slots for camping. Toilet and shower facilities were good and looked fairly recently refurbished. Only downside was that the road noise is extremely loud if you get placed at the bottom of the campsite, I’m sure it’s fine if you’re in a caravan but if you’re in a tent you’ll definitely hear it. Overall good experience and it’s well located for hikers and backpackers.
