Really nice cosy, and warm pub! Both wood burners were lit and making the whole pub lovely and toasty. Good beer selection. We were very surprised that we were the only people there at 8.30pm on a Saturday. It's been very busy on previous visits but well worth the trek up there.

Sunday 6pm. Thought we might have missed the best of the Sunday Roasts everywhere especially as we'd not booked. The Bull's Head did not disappoint. Really welcoming and friendly service. Great small snug rooms with open fires where we could eat. A choice of roasts with all the trimmings and Cauli Cheese. What more do you need? Thanks Bull's Head.

We thought we were booking into a hotel with food service but this was not the case. Breakfast is served in a different location a 10 minute walk away. Restaurant in the Bull completely closed and the only option was an Indian restaurant over the other pub. Rooms fine, the small bar attractive and everything clean and tidy but we decided not to stay the second night due to lack of food facilties. If you just need a bed for the night all is good but if you want the proper hotel experience try somewhere else.

Went there for Sunday lunch. The food was only just warm rather than piping hot. When asked by the young servers if everything was OK, we mentioned the we thought the food could have been much hotter, they said nothing and just turned away. What's the point of asking? Also, we was told that they don't serve coffee, which isn't very good really. Won't be going back. Over priced for what you get.

Lovely pub in Old Glossop. Stayed for a night on a walking weekend. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious - one of us had a roast dinner with amazing cauliflower cheese. The other two shared delicious tapas, highlight was the ribs and the feta salad. A lovely pub, highly recommend.

The vegan roast tasted nice but Β£14 for a burger patty with a couple of roast potatoes and some veg is a bit of a joke. On the other hand the service was amazing and the ale is kept well. Lovely atmosphere too so will pick something else next time

In the end we didn't eat here because we couldn't find anything we wanted to eat for lunch. Literally ever option with chicken was cajun flavoured. Sandwiches, salad, wraps - all cajun flavoured. As I'm not a fan of this flavour, it severally limited the options and we left without ordering.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. Staff are very welcoming and rooms are spacious and clean. Although there was no hot water on the first evening and second evening, we did have hot water in the morning. The guy behind the bar did offer to help but could not resolve, appreciate it is new year eve but hot water is a basic.

Having hiked 13 miles in the surrounding peaks, my friend and I were about ready to eat pretty much anything with calories. We happened to have parked opposite The Bulls Head and decided to give it a try. Well, the service was fantastic, we were found a table very quickly and were served drinks within 10 minutes of being seated (they were very busy) and the Pale Ale was some of the best I’ve tasted! Having both ordered the Steak and Ale Pie, it was served piping hot and absolutely crammed with meat. The chips and veg were also spot on. Frankly, we genuinely weren’t looking for anything special, but both agreed that was one of the best pub meals we’d eaten! Will definitely pop back when next in the area. Cheers!
