Can’t fault the staff or the location great location for a night out. Unfortunately the hotel is just so grubby, our room very dusty, ripped curtains, clearly hasn’t been hoovered for a while. Pillow was yellowing with stains on. Bathroom was awful, mould everywhere and stunk of drains .

It was an excellent experience during the stay at Hotel Campanile, room was clean with nice facilities. Location is amazing walking distance from Sainsbury, KFC, Mcdonald, shopping park and some good restaurants. Just opposite to the petrol stations. Many rooms are having river view. Good number of parking spaces available which are paid separately for hourly or day rate. Per day parking paid Β£6.7

Room was very dated. Like something from 80’s. Wood chip wallpaper. Someone had picked their nose and wiped it on the wall, but not been cleaned off. Looked like it had been there a while. The bathroom was half clean, with a disgusting smelly shower curtain and half a roll of toilet paper. TV worked on about three channels. Now this stuff I can put up with, but what I can’t deal with is dirty smelly pillows and foisty washed bedding. The bed was also very uncomfortable. I had to use the spare bath towel they gave me, to lay it over the pillows to sleep on. The carpet was also filthy. Not acceptable really. I couldn’t wait to check out in the morning. Believe the 1 star reviews, don’t believe the 5 star reviews on here and if you payed more than Β£20 for night here, you have been robbed. Do yourself a favor, if you do stay here make sure you shower before you set off, you’ll need to ! or better still, give this place a miss!

Decent rooms, check in was fairly quick even though staff could have been a little more welcoming. Room was basic but to be expected and what was needed, great shower. Parking was good with good proximity to shops and few food options. The entrance was awkward to get to due to sat Nav settings and it wasn't clearly sign posted upon approach. Was a good stay overall.

Stayed 2 nights. Parking is fairly expensive but not the worst for the location, rooms are also basic but clean. Staff were very helpful when we requested more towels and got them to us super quick, and it was a quiet night’s sleep without the usual door opening-and-closing in the early hours you get in most hotels. Nice enough for the price!

Previously had this rated 5 stars because I had a few lucky nice stays. The staff are great here, really friendly and it makes for a welcoming nice atmosphere. I stayed about 6 times over 2 months, usually everything was great. The hotel is super dated, but usually it was clean and smelt nice. The chairs in the rooms are awful, really really horrible and uncomfortable, so don't book if you need to do a lot of online work. There are problems with some of the rooms as well, and one room I had was just a violation and insulting. Some rooms don't have remotes for the TV. One of the bathrooms had new lights and was really bright, but all the others had old dim orange lights, and once only one of them was working, so it was really dark. Sometimes it's impossible to get the temperature right for the shower control, either way too hot or way too cold. In the especially bad stay I had, the surfaces weren't clean, there was lube spils on the desk and bedside table. The sink was pretty much blocked. There was a... Net curtain in place of the shower curtain, no joke, and it didn't even reach the side of the bath. 1 of the pillow cases was soft as usual, but the other 3 felt like sandpaper. After laying in the center of the bed I noticed it started to feel damp, meaning that the previous guest must have sweat a lot, and the mattress protector hadn't been changed. Luckily that night I had only booked for 1 night, and that is the last time I have been, and will never go back. I'm sure if you have a bad room the staff will move you if there are others available, but it's just insulting that there are rooms that bad in the first place

Nice hotel bit run down now. They offer to recycle your waste which is unusual for a hotel. Not really designed for a pedestrian as the gate is closed and you have to walk around the back and then back through the car park which feels dangerous with luggage

Do your best to avoid this hotel!!!!!! Very bad experience. Quiet dirty and smelly. Just smell like someone pee on the carpet. Not quality of chain hotel. Carpet mold for ages. And also NO refund. And I have booked for 9 nights which is nightmare. Be careful before you book this hotel. This hotel also not safe for single lady to stay. The lock is very poor and no any chain on door. Although here is a non smoke floor, people do smoke non stop and smell very strong like cigars. That smell stay in the room very long and the window was locked, like no fresh air at all. They asked you must NOT stay in the room, when they clean the room. Generally I don’t feel safe here. And no locker. And managment attitude is rude and not helpful and clean work is lousy.

Good large clean comfy bed and room. Very powerful shower with plenty hot water. Nice and Quiet stay (one night) We included breakfast plentiful fresh and well presented. Only issue was we could of had two large towels instead of one between two adults. Possible lick of paint to keep room fresh but not dirty x
