Stayed one night as we're going to a concert at the AO Arena. On first sight, I thought OMG what have I done...but pleasantly surprised with how nice reception was. The member of staff who dealt with our check-in was pleasant. We were given a room on the 14th floor, OK if you don't mind heights. But upon exiting the lift, there were no signs to direct you to where the rooms were...guess work. As others have mentioned, the lifts do not correlate with the actual floor you need and have to use stairs, not good with luggage. The room itself was large. The bed was two divans pushed together, but the mattress was comfy, but with the bed being so large, it was difficult to get out of bed. The pillows were too flat for a restful sleep. Again, to get to the restaurant for breakfast, you had to go to level 2 but then back up a flight of stairs to actually get to the restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Parking was Β£2 a night, which is extremely good value, as I have paid extortionate prices in other hotels. Would I stay here again.... yes. Don't be put off by the exterior of the building or it's location.

This place was filthy. Staff don't care at all. Had to walk through a pile of vomit at the entrance , that was never cleaned. Carpark is very dangerous and they have an absolute cheek trying to charge you to park there considering all of the signs saying vehicles left at owners risk. A lady parked next to me had her rangerover broken into and destroyed, she couldn't even drive away. I was put in a quiet zone, but there was banging doors all night and I mean all night. I didn't sleep. But hey, I met a few lady's of the night that stay there part time.

Could not fault the cleanliness of the bedroom, the staff in their level of friendliness or the price. Negatives - There is little to no signage inside to explain where to go. The building is multi usage, and it's not that welcoming when you arrive as a hotel guest. Without the sign outside, you could easily think you were in the wrong place. The main hallway/lift areas also had an unpleasant smell. - If you are a wheelchair user, or have mobility needs, I cannot see how it would be possible to stay here. The lifts for the building stop between hotel floors, meaning you have to go up or down 8 to 10 stairs to access the hotel reception, breakfast area and bedrooms. There may be arrangements to get around this, or a specific floor that has a stair lift access to bedroom sublevel, if you had an access need, but I didn't see any evidence of this or notice it being mentioned when I booked the room. - The mattress was quite soft - it felt like this was because the mattress was old, not that it was soft on purpose. - The pillows were very thin. - There was no air conditioning system in the room, and while the windows did open, it was then quite noisy. - Feels like a strange one, but there are no teaspoons in the room with the tea and coffee making facilities, just wooden stirrers. Positives + Bathroom in the room was nicely done, felt like a new renovation + Shower pressure was good and temperature was consistent + Staff were friendly Overall, while the hotel is in a good location to get into central Manchester, and is a really good price, I would prefer to pay more for better facilities.

Due to traffic I was totally late for check in but the staff were lovely and still got me in, the place is massive and when I got to my room It was spotless. The room was simply immaculate, no dirt or dust and very spacious, the bed was tidy and comfortable. There was coffee and tea stuff to help yourself to, a phone if i need any assistance and the view was lovely, the scape of Eccles looked like stars, bathroom was also amazing. Honestly it's the nicest place I've stayed in a while, I book a lot of hotels for trips and this was one I couldn't fault at all. I'd definitely stay again and will be adding it to my favourites!

Very interesting hotel. Actually looks like classical big hotels but it seems as if it is run by a few people. Especially the two nice people in the breakfast hall was working like bees. Breakfast was also very good. Interesting elevator system that stop s between 2 floors (0.5 floor :)). It has a supermarket nearby and located near to bus and train stops.

Yes, it's a strange building but my room (top floor) was spotless and up to date. Breakfast (paid extra) was an a la carte and the full English was brilliant and huge. Handy location for my business trip but tram is about 8 minutes walk away and about 35 minutes journey into city centre. At the price I paid, I have no grumbles. Worth noting, shower gel provided but no other toiletries.

Good value for money hotel in Eccles. Very quick walk to the local train station and the metro line. Perfect for a stopover near Manchester. Room was spacious with a modern and clean bathroom. Nice staff. Great views. Only bad side is the exterior.. It's an old office block and doesn't look very appealing from the outside.

This is the dirtiest and worst hotel I've ever seen, from the reception, to the hallway and then the room. I felt sick walking into the reception. I didn't want to judge at the entrance so I asked to see the room. It was absolutely disappointing. We booked this online for my honeymoon and it was nothing like we saw online. They ruined my night! I cried so hard and was distressed as we had to find another hotel to stay for the night. I complained to the hotel and they asked us to speak with the booking agency. The booking agency then contacted the hotel and they agreed on a cancellation without a charge. We then booked another hotel for the night only to get an email from the booking agency that the cancellation will have to be paid for. It was generally a horrible experience!!!

I don't have high enough praise for my stay here! It's cleanliness and hygiene of the rooms are second to non! TV, double bed, hairdryer, huge shower, hot shower, phone, tea coffee station, blackout curtains,.ac/heating all for 39 quid!! Oh and most importantly clean carpet and bedding! Oh and huge clean towels that cover you from neck to toes! Food all day! The restaurant staff are amazing! The proper check in desk and procedures lockable door, key card entry. WiFi! It's everything it says it is!
