We have been to the court house for drinks a few times and have always enjoyed it and been pleased with the service. Me and my partner came in for a meal and some drinks the other week, we had a lovely waitress and bar tender called Crystal. She was very attentive, polite, and ensured we were happy with our meal and drinks. She was very hard working and made some lovely cocktails. The Court house is quiet in the week so a good place to go for a meal if you aren’t into busy restaurants. There is also a nice place out the front of the building to sit if the weather is nice.

Overall ok stay but only challenge with breakfast... When i stayed, the kitchen was closed...it was all cold continental breakfast being served to the room directly in a Tray... Also room service was not great, missed room cleaning on one of the day...even the next day when cleaned, there was no body wash ...they had no shoe shiner as well though i was shared with some workaround with some liquid and paper cloth to clean. My shoe

A great little find. Don’t let the grand exterior intimidate you. Inside you find a beautifully designed cosy bar. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming that after originally only stopping by for a drink we decided to opt for the small plates deal. It did not disappoint! The pork ribs especially were amazing they literally fell off the bone. Thank you to all the team, especially Ben for looking after us so well!

Amazing hotel! I stayed here over Christmas with my mum and pup. The staff were very friendly and made a lot of fuss over Hugo (my pup) ensuring he wasn’t left out of the festivities. The bar was stunning, great music and cocktails and a beautiful ambience. The manager Jemma was very polite and accommodated our every need. All of the staff were very professional and helped make a lovely Christmas we will never forget. Definitely recommend!

We took advantage of the very good deal of 40% off main meals for January with a table of 10. We were booked in for 12, and the food arrived at 1, which was OK for us because we weren't in a hurry, but wasn't terribly quick. Most at the table had Sunday lunch which was OK, the portion was a bit stingy on vegetables and had a bit of style over substance about it. It was fine given the deal, but I would not have been particularly impressed if we paid full price. The service wasn't terribly good, we had 1 bottle of water for the table when we asked for some, and when the waitress came to the table to ask about more drinks she only asked half the group at one end of the table. Despite the wait at the beginning, when we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, we were also told that they wanted the table back in 15 minutes. Really nice location, decor was a bit random considering the lovely building with fake leaves in abundance and steel girders around the bar - would have thought that the venue could have embraced the historic charm of the building a little more.

Booked for Christmas Lunch. Nice decor and atmosphere in the restaurant but the lighting was so dim you could not see the dishes you were eating. Service was very slow and it took a long time between each course. Over 2 hours for 3 courses. Sadly the food was all just about edible. Not worth the money paid and will not go back. Had a similar experience with long wait on drinks service only a few days earlier where we waited 20 mins for drinks that never came and the bar was near empty. These are the only two times I have been in there.

Lovely building, quite a dark interior and fairly noisy with singer / music background, Not sure it really knows what it wants to be. The restaurant is fine but service isn't great because there's also a bar in the middle, and the staff have to serve people demanding drinks there. We moved tables as we were too close to the bar and the sink obviously needs the services of Dino Rod as the smell wasn't pleasant. We ordered cocktails which arrived eventually (recommend the virgin mango and banana lemonade) and meals which ranged from fish and chips to sirloin steak and from burger to sausages and mash. These were actually very nice, but again served eventually, and we had to ask for condiments (one of the party went to the bar) as well as further drinks. Dessert choices were mostly sticky toffee pudding all round; none of which were hot probably due to sitting on the side for a while till the staff have time to attend to them. So I would say the owner needs to reconsider what he or she (or they) thinks this place should be -- bar or restaurant? The two don't really mix due to the impact on the service to both bar users and restaurant users.

What an amazing space... Loved the way it was all set up as you walked through to the rooms. It was a bit like a film set, really beautiful. All the rooms are upstairs, a big imposing staircase, stone stairs and a solid wooden rail rake you to your room. Everywhere is very dark and lowly lit to create a moody atmosphere. Our room was nice, compact but enough space. We had plug sockets for charging next to the bed, important for me, tea and coffee making and a complimentary bag of crisps which were very enjoyable!! I absolutely loved the toiletries in the bathroom, super nice very luxurious The bed was comfy and we slept really well There is an adjoining bar downstairs which was also decorated beautifully with a large olive tree taking centre stage, strewn with lights. They serve food here but on the day we arrived the kitchen was closed so maybe check ahead.. We did go in for a drink though Parking is easy, it's free and directly in front of this incredible, imposing building... Great location situated at the top of the high street, easy access to all that Knutsford has to offer

Great hotel, lovely staff and an amazing room. If I'm being picky, my only complaint was that my room was cold even with the heating on!

The building is imposing, the decor is quirky, the bedrooms are sumptuous, the food is locally sourced, the staff are lovely and the drinks are very picturesque. If you've not been, go take a trip to the bar even if you're not in need of a bed for the night.
