What an absolute gem of a b&b. Fantastic hosts Michelle and Paul run a really good place here. Facilities are great and they provide so much that you just don't get at other b&bs. Your own sitting room as well as the bedroom with ensuite. Ensuite has a large bath and a separate spacious shower. We had a personal greeting from the hosts, welcome fizz and our breakfasts suited us perfectly with a wide selection of breads, spreads, cereals, fruit, berries and yogurts all waiting for us to help ourselves when we were ready to. Located on the edge of the national trust Dunham Massey estate it's a short trip in to Altrincham where it's an easy tram ride in to Manchester. You can visit the city and towns locally before relaxing in a peaceful countryside setting to finish the day. I would highly recommend this lovely b&b and the fabulous Michelle and Paul as hosts. Yes I've mentioned them twice, they are that good! We came for training courses in Altrincham but we will be back for leisure trips in the future.

Lovely accommodation with own spacious bedroom and ensuite, and a private lounge with separate entrance. Off street parking. Delightful hosts, welcoming and with lots of extra touches for a relaxing visit. Lovely continental breakfast.

Absolutely stunning. It is some years since I stayed but now these reviews are easy to do and oft read, I wanted to say just how great it was. Working in Sale commuting up each week in a tiny red Micra I wanted somewhere to relax and regenerate... and the old post office was perfect. It is a short pleasant drive from the city and became my favorite place to stay. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming, some evenings I would get back to the greeting "We've just opened a bottle of wine, would you like to join us!" The rooms are lovely and with all the trimmings. Even had my own lounge and fireplace. The main guest bedroom has a bath of Hollywood proportions. The award winning country pub with fine food 'The Swan with two nicks" is a short pleasant stroll down the country lane. The peace and contrast to Manchester was a joy. Idyllic in truth. If work took me back that way or if visiting the gardens or otherwise having a vacation in the area I would instantly aim to stay again. The only thing about my stay that seemed a bit odd was the charge... it seemed way underpriced.

This is our third stay here and have already booked again for next year. Michelle and Paul are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We had booked a table at the barn owl and were no taxis to take us for over an hour so Paul very kindly asked his Son to take us so we wouldn't miss our reservation. I also lost my earring and Michelle very kindly posted it back to me. We love staying here, its a fabulous place and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely and very quaint old post office made all the more special by the warm welcome and hospitality of the hosts Michelle and Paul. We had a great night's sleep in the comfiest of beds. Nothing was too much trouble for Michelle and Paul; a lovely genuine couple. Will definitely stay again.

A superb place. The hospitality is amazing. Little extra touches like a platter of fruit and cheese on arrival. Lovely location for walks and local pub serves very tasty food. Could not find a better place than this.
