I would like to share feedback regarding my recent stay at your Ibis hotel in Manchester β€” incidents which I believe deserve your attention and corrective action. β€’ Upon arrival, a staff member kindly offered to take my bag and store it in the luggage room. I waited to receive a claim ticket proving it was my bag. Unfortunately, that staff member never returned, and I was left waiting alone without any information. β€’ A few minutes later, I asked one of your colleagues at reception where I could buy cigarettes nearby. His answer was simply: β€œI’m not the right person to ask.” Given that such queries are typically handled at reception, I would have expected a more professional and helpful response, such as: β€œLet me check with a colleague.” β€’ Later, when I returned to retrieve my bag, the same staff member refused to give it back, stating I did not have the ticket. He walked away. Another colleague also asked for the ticket. I had to describe and prove that it was indeed my bag β€” only to find out eventually that the ticket had been attached directly to the bag. This resulted in a loss of nearly half an hour of my time just to recover my luggage. β€’ Finally, when I got to my room, there was no remote control for the TV. I travel frequently and stay at many hotels worldwide. This is the first time I have encountered such a sequence of service failures and lack of coordination in such a short period of time. I am not writing this to complain for the sake of complaining, but rather to draw your attention to these weaknesses so that you may address them and improve the guest experience at your properties.

The location was great, room was very clean, comfortable and the pod ensuite bathroom provided a great shower and good facilities. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. Breakfast at the very near sister hotel (Novotel) offered great choice although quite busy and a little slow to replenish food items. Very good value breakfast though!

There are hotels, and there are hotels, right? Equally, there are hotel staff, and there are hotel staff, with me so far? Well, the hotel does what it should, it’s clean, comfortable, well equipped and superbly located (if central Manchester is where you want to be?), so far so good! Now the staff, what a treat to be served so well by everyone, from the courteous cleaners that smiled and represented the company well, to the bar / reception staff that went above and beyond, really well done. In particular, the wonderful Nicole, service with the most wonderful smile and utterly professional, Accor, are you reading this ? She’s management material in the waiting right under your noses!! Dominic too was professional, smiling and uber efficient, the pair of them working together like a Swiss clock, effortless and confident, that’s how we guests like it, a big no, a Huge thanks for the stay! It gets another β€œArnie” - a I’ll be back!

A real hotel experience! We stayed 5 nice for yhe mathces of Man Citi An exceptionally high rating for a 3-star hotel. The hotel staff provides outstanding service β€” I haven’t encountered such great service in a long time! Perfect central location, very clean. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a young and pleasant design both in the lobby and in the rooms. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Ibis Portland β€” I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

We thought we had booked into the very good Ibis at 2 Portland St which we had been to before, but on arrival found it had been sold to someone else, and ours was now half a mile down the road. The staff at 96 weren't particularly interested. I had requested, in advance, lactose-free milk (not soya, oat or anything like that) for breakfast. The staff on the desk said "Sorry, we don't do that". At No 2 they had gone to Tesco Express round the cornet especially to get some - that's good customer service. Breakfast was actually at the Novotel hotel next door. The restaurant manager there was very apologetic, but no one had told him about the request. He did everything he could to help, and all the staff there were good. The buffet breakfast was what you normally get, no better, no worse. Other than that the room was clean, if a bit snug, and the bed was very comfortable. But Ibis may have lost our custom in a very crowded market of competitors.

I visited this hotel for the first time recently and throughly enjoyed my stay. I received fantastic service from each and every team member I encountered - they were all very helpful and attentive and great to talk to. The hotel is located conveniently central in Manchester city centre - within close proximity of all main attractions, shopping centres, the coach station and train station. The room was modernly designed, with all the necessary amenities, very spacious with a decently sized bathroom area, and a comfortable bed. Overall, I was very much satisfied with my stay and will return my custom to this hotel when I return to Manchester again in the future - I highly recommend.

Just returned from one night at this hotel. Me and my boyfriend only had 1 problem which was 1 dirty towel. Other than that you can complain for the price. Comfy bed and room appeared clean. Great location and friendly staff. The room was small but I expected that and the bathroom reminded me of a train toilet but bigger but its budget so again I expected that. Had tea and coffee facilities and a little wardrobe area and desk. We parked in the q Park piazza behind the hotel for Β£22 for 24 hrs with the 25% discount from hotel. I would stay here again :)

Staying here five nights. Wanted to be closer to the city and railway and everything else. Hotel rooms are great. I'm on the 4th floor. Breakfast is extra but it is definitely worth it. Staff member Marta and Sahara are the people who have made my stay in Manchester perfect.

We paid ~Β£400 for 2 nights. If you've been to an Ibis before, you know what to expect Pros: - great location - shower was great. Spacious and warm with conditioning shampoo + body/face wash - comfortable beds - good sound isolation from other rooms - great blackout curtains that can make day look like night in your room - city centre location Cons: - gets really noisy at night as rooms have poor sound isolation from the roads - our room had a strong musty smell like urine - no heaters in the room - smallish room expected for what you pay Overall an ok choice but held back by the noise and lack of heating

Pros: Great central location, clean Cons: Room had weird pungent smell (thought might have been carpet cleaner) and woke up with sore throat from it, bathroom is a weird modular cubicle - feels like a bathroom in a caravan with no ceramic fittings etc, air con did not work properly. We were at front of hotel so it was very loud but this is to be expected from the central location. All in all, did not feel like good value for money.
