   Despite alarms set and looking religiously at my diary, I forgot my appointment and missed the slot. The AutoCentre rang me up to ask where I was and offered to fit me in later that day. They were polite, very helpful and professional. I even got a discount on my booking. Will use again, and again…

   I had an appointment for 2:30 to get my new tyres fitted, when I got there (10 mins early as requested) I was told ‘it’ll get done by the end of the day’ I told the guy at reception I needed my car back for 5 (hence the 2:30 appointment) and he said he’s busy but almost certain it’ll be ready for 5 I ring at 5 and they say it’ll be ready for 5:45 Also stated when I dropped the car off I would’ve swapped my appointment if he didn’t think it would be done for 5! Happy with the tyres but the organisation is naff, what’s the point in the appointment times??

   I booked to have 2 new tyres fitted, The overall experience very good, staff brilliant, work done very good. Booking time was a little fluid but not too bad. Unfortunately my Volvo valve caps went missing and were not transferred. I will recommend Halfords autocentre in Chesterfield but don't make any immediate plans afterward, you might be late.

   Excellent, efficient service with a while and well-set expectations. My car was diagnosed as needing a new alternator after a battery charge fault occurred. They gave me a quote, I looked around, and I couldn't find a better one that was readily available and cheaper. Excellent mechanics.

   Ive used this Halfords twice in the last year. The first time my late father in law van had a timing belt issue and whilst we figured out as a family what we were doing Halfords were very patient and allowed the vehicle to stay on site due to it being inoperable, they also cut in half the diagnostic charge as they were unable to fix. Secondly took my own car down for a diagnostic, given reasonable information and advice but not charged as could not be specific for the cause. Appreciated that. Staff are friendly and understanding. Thanks Halfords.

   Didn't seem overly interested, to be honest and didn't solve the problem. I have no doubt that they are competent enough at what they do, but it took another appointment with the mobile fitter from a competitor to diagnose the issue.

   Not the easiest parking at times and Halfords only have about 6 spaces for specific customers of you're wanting advice etc for your car. Good range of stock for size available. Possibly worth having a catologue or booking area for ordering items in.

   Absolutely amazing staff down at Halfords Auto Centre at bottom of Walton Road, Chesterfield. Rang them for an urgent tyre repair and they got me in urgently as tyre was flat & they ordered me a new one in and rang me when car was ready… Really polite and helpful
