Kampus is nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I moved in, it was clear that their primary goal is to squeeze every penny out of you, charging for absolutely everything. The apartments themselves are bang average at best and they are unbearably hot in the summer, making it almost impossible to get any comfort. To make matters worse, my heating didn’t work for pretty much the entire duration of my time there, which made the already uncomfortable living conditions even worse, particularly during winter. On top of all this, they increase the rent every single time you decide to renew, showing just how little they value their tenants. Once you move out, don't think you'll get a penny of your deposit back.They charged me for ridiculous things, including excessive cleaning fees and damage claims that were completely unfounded. The staff are utterly incompetent and lazy, failing to respond to queries in a timely manner and showing zero effort in resolving any issues. When I did manage to speak with someone, they were rude and completely unhelpful. In summary, Kampus is a money-grabbing operation that takes advantage of tenants at every turn. The apartments are far from what they promise, the staff are unprofessional and rude and their charges are extortionate and unjustified. I would strongly advise against renting here—it's a complete rip-off and an incredibly frustrating experience. There are far far better apartment schemes in Manchester.
Not A trip I live here, in north block and its pretty good. I have been impressed by Judd in the maintenance team. He has undertaken my last two fixes and he has been friendly and helpful and quick, doing a really good job in both cases.
Absolutely cool place. Based in central part of Manchester near the canals. Nice vibe surrounded by shops, pubs etc. There two restaurants and nice garden. You can sit down next to the river and enjoy it.
At the beginning of construction I consider these massive buildings as something, that will definitely ruin atmosphere of gay village with heavy volumes and will make whole area extremely busy. Partially it's true, but it also created unique green closed pedestrian space, or square that support specific genius loci around canal ..love it
I'm about to move into Kampus - flat looks great and gym looks great. Also wanted to give a huge shout out to Simon Nguyen who is one of the Kampus leasing associates because he was awesome. Really friendly, knowledgeable and a genuinely a nice guy. Always on hand to help with questions and fully recommend him for his service.
Nice furnishings and materials - the apartments itself are lovely, aesthetic and comfy and the sense of community is nice however most of the social places are still to be completed. however just not practical. You can hear the doors shut loudly, it echoes throughout the floor, and there's not enough storage in the wardrobe - the bed is designed so you can not put anything in it or underneath it. The kitchen doors are a little awkward to handle.
Fantastic service right from the beginning. Simon Nguyen (leasing agent) was incredibly helpful from the time I first contacted Kampus. He has been efficient throughout the process of leasing a flat, and has always been quick to respond to queries. I have had a great experience with other staff members too - always friendly and trying to make things as smooth as possible. Looking forward to moving in!
