Lovely flat and we stayed for 2 years, but sadly since when it was sold to the Grainger in 2024 it went down hill - They stopped 24/7 security which resulted some of the amenities taken away, 24/7 security gone which resulted so much theft from the parcel room. - hot water bill was a joke the residents even taken it too the local MP as our average “hot water” bill was £50 per month! This also resulted in hot water issues for the building constantly - The rent prices got ridiculous increased and was not on par to other places so we left despite being residents for 2 years - CAUTION to new tenants. Please take a photo of every nook and cranny (as much even as a spec of hair) and report it straight away as despite us leaving the flat immaculate we got billed the most outrageous cleaning bill. The flat had so many marks when we moved in and got told previous tenants lost there whole deposit due to damage and we got the bill for £80 painting and £226.80 for cleaning despite us showing original photos. Even as much as a spec of dust they will take a photo of it and the final report nothing like compared to the moving in report. We did complain and got 25% back from cleaning but overall was pretty disgusted and other people who moved out had the same or even worse! Can’t not fully recommend sadly, I do appreciate the manager doing what they can but the cleaning and decorations bill was awful way to end our experience with the Grainger

I’ve been living here for a month now, and it’s been a wonderful experience! The place is comfortable and well-maintained, but what really makes the difference is Haginson. He’s been incredibly helpful, approachable, and genuinely friendly, which has made settling in so much easier. I really appreciate his support and kindness.

The building is nice, and the location is great, but the real benefit of living at The Astley is the concierge team at the front desk. Both Haj and Tyler were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of my move. They went above and beyond to be flexible while I moved back to Manchester from abroad, and they have continued to be extremely helpful since i have moved in. I would recommend the building for anyone looking for a stress free move to a good location!

I just wanted to take a moment to say how truly amazing the entire reception team is especially Haj and Tyler. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with such warmth, positivity, and professionalism that it instantly brightens your day. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and they always go above and beyond to help, no matter how big or small the request.

Living here has been a very nice experience. The team in the building is always friendly and helpful — Haj and Tyler in particular have been great and always willing to assist. It’s clear that the staff genuinely listen to any issues we bring up and try to address them, which makes a big difference. The community events are a lovely way to meet people and feel more connected. One of the things I really enjoy is how much my dog loves it here — and the fact that everyone here seems to love her too is heartwarming. Overall, it’s a great place to live, though it would have been even better if the price was just a little more affordable.

Fantastic place to eat great food. Portions are good size. Friendly and helpful staff. Good wine list too.
