Fantastic venue and company showing ballet and opera. Young Opera tickets are amazing and help young people like me engage with the arts for reasonable prices. Views are pretty decent any where in auditorium, though the seats are more cramped the higher up you go. The shop offers lots of themed and seasonal merchandise, though it could have more opera related items. Free tap water available throughout the House and is appreciated along with the free cloak room service too. Though the queues to collect after the show are a bit manic!

An absolutely incredible performance of The Nutcracker. It had a truly special Christmas vibe. The sets and the acting were unreal. The scene changes were so smooth, and every new set somehow looked even more impressive than the last. A live orchestra playing Tchaikovsky. That massive Christmas tree rolling onto the stage and rising up. And the atmosphere of the Royal Opera House β€” something truly special: magical, historic, unforgettable. It feels like real luck to catch this show in December. And the dancers’ performance was simply outstanding.

What can I say… one of my favourite places on earth. Such flawless, gorgeous productions, timeless masterpieces, both ballet and opera represented and on what level! I guess one of my favourite aspects of RBO though is that you really get all sorts of people there, and everyone is treated equally. So simple yet so hard to achieve for many establishments. I’ve never experienced snobbery there, regardless of how I was dressed and what kind of seat I had. Just a fabulous, glorious place to visit.

The Royal Opera House is truly one of London’s cultural treasures. The building itself is breathtaking β€” both historic and modern at the same time β€” and the atmosphere makes every visit feel special. The performances are world-class, whether opera, ballet, or orchestral, with an artistry and precision that leave you in awe. What makes the experience even more remarkable is the attention to detail: from the acoustics and stage design to the warm and professional staff who ensure everything runs smoothly. Even just enjoying a drink or a view from the terraces is a pleasure, with Covent Garden buzzing just outside. An unforgettable experience that combines beauty, history, and excellence in performance. A must-visit for anyone in London who loves the arts.

Delightful place. Very well kept and clean. Outside, inside, toilets, shop, everything perfect. Staff extremely helpful, I couldn’t find the toilets and one member of the staff approached me and showed me the way. Polite waiters and good food as well. 5 stars indeed.

Wow. What a beautiful opera house! Conveniently located with in several feet of the Jubilee market, it was easy to find. The food and beverages sold are of a great variety from healthy vegetarian, pastries to salads. There is terrace which is fabulous. Not to mention the gift shop that has a reasonably priced selection to suit anyone. My seat was superb located in the Donald Gordon tier. Othello was a treat to behold! This took place on July.

This is probably one of my favourite places in London. To be fair, the seats are not the kindest to people with long legs, but they are quite comfortable. The front-of-house teams are always incredibly polite, helpful and friendly. Careful of the bar for refreshments as they are a bit pricey, but overall if you're there for a show you won't be disappointed.

The Royal Opera House is astonishing ! Very beautiful inside and out. We had an opera to see and security checked our bags you can tell they were making sure we were all safe. You can get lost easily but there is ushers everywhere to help you find your seat. When we got their we wanted to get a quick bite before the show but it was so busy 20 mins before the show. Not enough staff to help with orders. A bit pricy for the drinks and food. I would highly recommend to eat before you come here and maybe just buy drinks. Which you can order ahead of time and they will have your order ready during intermissions. I thought this was great. It was beautiful here. The opera stage and music was phenomenal. Once the show starts you will not be allowed out and the doors will close. It was a very lovely experience here will highly recommend.
