Such a great place, our favourite farm in Greater Manchester. Fabulous space with a lovely nature walk where you can see and feed a great range of animals including some very cheeky goats! We went to their Christmas event which was great, so much effort had gone to it and met the grinch Father Christmas and mother Christmas as well as doing marshmallow toasting ❤️

For the last four years we have visited Lancaster park and animal farm for Halloween and every year it gets better. The big kid in me particularly loved this year's theme of harry potter. The staff always go to so much effort staying in character and making sure everyone has fun! Lots of animals to see and feed and a large field filled with pumpkins to choose from. Particularly enjoyed the new marshmallow toasting set up! As always an amazing day, reasonably priced, lots to see and do and will definitely be back again next year!

I really loved hearing the story behind the farm — how the owner’s passion led them to start it, build it up from scratch, and finally see it come to life. It’s truly heartwarming and inspiring. As someone who’s always loved farms, I think the £8.50 entrance fee is a decent price. The downside is that there isn’t as much animal interaction as I expected. Since most of the areas are outdoors, it might not be ideal on a rainy day. I was pleasantly surprised by the cute dinosaur decorations, and it’s amazing that the whole place is mostly run by a small team and volunteers. For what you pay, it really feels worth it. It’s a lovely spot for a peaceful walk and to enjoy nature. But if you’re looking for lots of animals to see and touch, this might not be the first choice.

Absolute 10/10! So much to do. Went pumpkin picking with my little boy and I came back with over 100 photos! So many props and photo opportunities. The effort and money put into it is notable. The farm is huge, so many animals, and two different play parks for kids with so much to do. Food and drink prices are unbelievable, never been to a farm so cheap before. The wizard school was a great touch, wish they let you take a wand or potion as a keepsake. There is no gift shop which was a disappointing part. Would 100% go back. Highly recommend. I am against putting little kids online, especially my own so unfortunately I can’t share the amazing photos of him that i managed to take. But if you’re thinking of going, you won’t be disappointed.

We visited today for Halloween. The children really enjoyed their day. The decorations were amazing and the pumpkin patch was big, full and decorated fantastically. Was lovely to still see all the animals out and getting to feed them. The staff were so polite and helpful and it added to the day how welcome they made you feel. Would highly recommend.

A fun, little day out. We gave a tortoise a bath (only on Wednesday & Saturday) fed the horses, sheep, goats, alpaca. There's dinosaurs dotted around which we enjoyed looking for, two separate park areas and lots of picnic benches. The animal petting was cute and the ranger was really good giving us lots of information (I can't remember her name). Make sure you take some cash for the animal feed, diggers, mini bikes and caterpillar ride, the children enjoyed the caterpillar ride.

Convenient to get to, the farm is a surprisingly good diversion for the whole family for a half day visit. Many of the animals are friendly, gentle, & will eat from the palm of your hand (but be careful, they may bite !) Of special interest is the petting barn where bunnies (& pet rats) await ! In addition to the animals are a number of side attractions including a (farm machine towed) train ride, plus the chance to control diggers. The site is quite well laid out, with the chance to walk by the Rochdale Canal on a wooded path, with animal enclosures surrounding a pasture where the animals can feed & rest (if they are not interested in your bags of food - £1.50 near the entrance). Friendly staff enhance the experience, but it is advised to book in advance with a card (inexpensive entry fees), as it seems to be a cash only system at the site. Refreshments are also available here, but to make it a 5 star attraction, it would have been nice to have a proper souvernir booth. Finally, despite a little bit of tidying up & maintenance required in some areas, I would definitely recommend Lancaster Farm for an outing !

Went for the first time yesterday, myself and two teenagers. Wasn't really expecting too much but WOW!! Absolutely loved the place, much bigger than expected, lovely big layout for the animals. All look really well looked after, the goats especially fantastic!. Brilliant value for money ,plenty of places to picnic, clean toilets and lots of handwash stations. Can't recommend enough, don't hesitate just go and enjoy !!

Family friendly, little activities and rides allowed my 3yo to engage more. The snacks aren’t overly priced and even tastes decent! Just one star down as I think it could do with a little bit more “tidying”/ maintenance (some areas looked as though rubbish were dumped like buckets and tyres) and some unused animal pens were filling with weeds, dandelions etc. but other than that it’s pretty decent.
