We stayed at the Leopard creek cabins over Christmas - a mini mortgage mind you. We had a lovely time and feel very relaxed. We really appreciated the friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism of the staff throughout the entire trip. The Santa experience was really special for our little one and the light trail, safari, feedings and the giraffe feeding were all fantastic. We found the accommodation to be very quant and really high end products. We found the food to be very wholesome and flavoured very well. All food was included however. We ordered 3 hot chocolates £9.30 each and one diet cola for £10 or more. No where were these prices advertised. We just left a 5 star hotel in central london where even with room service or in the hotel bar a soft drink does not cost more than £5. I feel its ludicrous to charge that amount when on the light trail a hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream was less than £5. When we have paid £2800 to stay for 2 nights and 5 meals for 2 adults and 1 child. This is something that has really infuriated me. Either advertise the correct prices and be upfront about it or don't offer. I mean imagine if we drank alcohol? Having recently had our honeymoon this year in the Maldives where all supplies are brought in by boat of sea plane and served at 5 star resorts you don't even pay that much there (which is one of the most expensive beach holidays outside of Bora Bora). As a business that relies on stays and donations (which I was considering donating significantly for the animals) this is really poor form to charge £42 for 3 bog standard hot chocolates and 1 200ml diet cola.

Just returned from an overnight stay in Giraffe Cottage with our 2 grandchildren. 2 private safaris, light trail and private chef. All were fab. Cottage was clean, chefs amazing. Our ranger was super knowledgeable. We had our autistic grandson with us and I cannot praise all staff enough. Friendly, helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. Light trail was very good. We be returning.

What a wonderful place. We came for afternoon tea and the illuminate light festival. We got there at two, early enough to see some of the animals. Lions tigers and apes were amazing. A good walk and then in for the afternoon tea. Again service was exceptional and food quality to match. A great spread and nice variety. We had takeaway boxes as there was too much! On to the light show as it was now dark. Again a massive effort has been made the lights were fantastic. I could not imagine how many miles of wires have been laid to make this work? The fibre optic trees, the stage coach and holographic tiger to name but a few. I hope that this event has raised money to care for all of the furry guests during winter and we will certainly return when the full park is back open. Thank you for a lovely day and thanks to all the great helpful staff.

We’ve just returned from an amazing overnight stay at Port Lympne for their Christmas illuminated trail event. We stayed in the hog deer Creek, which came with the golf buggy - a real added bonus for the kids, especially! All of the team there were helpful and friendly and really added to the experience. The shepherd‘s hut that we stayed in was small but had everything we needed. The complementary marshmallows and toasting sticks were a nice touch, along with the Molton Brown toiletries. The wildlife keepers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave lots of tips and knowledge on the animals. The food was really tasty at Bear Lodge and the breakfast was good at the garden room, while the mansion and reception areas are beautifully decorated. We really liked the illuminated trail, which was new this year. Just the perfect length and variety of illuminations. We really loved the fairy disco, too! My only criticism, which is only a small one, would be to have more places open for lunch from 12 to 2, as there was only the garden room or pre-packed sandwiches in one of the cafés for lunch.

Fabulous safari park with a lot to see in a beautiful landscape. The rooms were amazing - our treehouse wasn't in a tree, but above the treeline with grand views over the park and the the landscape beyond, all the way to the sea. The steps are steep, but once you are up there the accommodation doesn't disappoint. The park itself has a lot to offer for all the family, with driven safari-style tours, self-drive golf buggies or walking. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and facilities of a high standard. The animals are impressive, and the conservation ethos and sheer space of the park sets it above normal zoo experiences. It's not cheap but still a great day out and highly recommended.

The Safari was such an enjoyable experience for all of us, suitable for all age. Some of the animals have a spacious natural ground to explore around, I suppose similar to their natural habitat. So don’t think of this park like an ordinary zoo please. The restaurant’s interior was most fond by me, 30-40 for two adult plus a child which is acceptable. Applause for the chefs here, the beef burger and lamb kofta were absolutely amazing! Great (free) parking space, though the extended grass parking could be very muddy and splashy around the wheels after the rain. The staff were lovely and polite, attentive and happy to offer info to new visitors. A good selection of souvenirs.

Fantastic day at Port Lympne. I was amazed how knowledgeable the lady that took us on the safari was. I would 100 per cent recommend. The safari took about an hour. Driving round at about 5mph. Information on all animals and the zoo. The ride was very comfortable and the animals are clearly seen. Some animals standing around in front the truck very funny.

Stayed at Lion Lodge overnight and wow, what an experience..... The lodge was pure luxury and being able to sit next to the lions was amazing. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and made this a truly memorable time. Also booked a AAA Safari - this is highly recommended. Will, our ranger, was so knowledgeable, funny and friendly. The real highlight for me was hand feeding the black rhino and stroking the white rhino. A most enjoyable 2.5 hours roaming the reserve.

We have just got home from a day at a safari. Park and grounds are beautiful and well kept. Animals seem happy and well looked after. We booked the Safari and have been on a few safari type experiences in the UK. This by far, was the most boring. We barely see any animals and when we did most were at a great distance except for the giraffes. It was a glorified taxi service around the grounds. If you are a wheelchair user or buggy user then forget it! It’s all uphill and lots of stairs to climb. I can imagine children getting very tired. The food and drinks were ok and overpriced. All in all, we had a good day. But there are far more interactive experiences with animals around the UK at a similar price. I feel even some zoo’s you get a closer look at the animals. We won’t be returning.

Loved our visit! We had a experience gift for afternoon tea and day in the park, we upgrade for £6 per person and went on the safari. Well worth £6! (sit on the left, more animals on the left). Animals were beautiful. We then visited the mansion for afternoon tea and wow the mansion room was stunning with art panted walls. Afternoon tea was lovely
