Came here with the intent to purchase a bag and left within 2 mins because of how rude the staff is. I have never experienced this type of service at any other Chanel or luxury store!

visited the Chanel boutique at Heathrow Terminal 5 intending to make a purchase. The first sales assistant who helped me was absolutely lovely and welcoming. However, when we got to the till, another staff member (curly hair tied up) openly reprimanded her in front of me for how the box was prepared. The assistant looked mortified and on the verge of tears. I mentioned I was in a rush for my flight and didn’t need extra wrapping, but the second staff member responded in a bitter tone with, “You want it in a bag, no?” She returned five minutes later, handed me the bag without a single thank you or goodbye. This was a truly disappointing experience, and I genuinely feel bad for the kind staff member who served me initially.

Rude and arrogant staff. There were 3 and an empty shop, but they did not greet me or ask if I wanted help. Just looked me up and down and decided I couldn’t afford anything (people wear track suit and no make up for long haul flight you know even when travelling business class). I wanted to purchase a watch and jewellery but oh well looks like they missed out and I’ll buy it in another country where customer service matters. Went to LV and Cartier instead.

Chanel makeup counter in duty free T5. Very aggressive sales tactics. Indian elderly lady always approaches customers in a very pushy way. Not nice and not friendly. Every time I fly from this terminal I witness this. Nobody needs your cocky attitude nor judgemental behaviour. You’re not the queen of the world. Stop being so mean.

I inquired about VAT deduction eligibility (knowing it's available to non-UK residents). The Asian Male staff member informed me that they only offer VAT reduction to citizens of Hong Kong and the USA, requiring "ID card with address proof," which I found amusing and will verify with Chanel HQ about why only two regions are being picked. Despite appearing casual for my flight, I sensed they doubted my spending capacity, though they should have checked my account. Overall, it seemed like the staff enjoyed chatting amongst themselves, but they didn't strike me as Chanel-trained personnel. This downgrades the brand.

Wow!!! If you want aloof and cold, then this is the reception you’ll possibly get too!…. Incredibly uninterested old sales woman who gave the impression she didn’t really want to be there, and just couldn’t be bothered ….Ah well Chanel’s loss, I promptly left to spend my money in Hermès and Dior and got treated with courtesy and a smile …

Very bad shopping experience. Even though we had asked for a few products to be taken out for our choosing we spent less than 15mins deciding what we want. To my horror, I even heard the lady attending to us saying ‘this is wasting our time’ when I’m directly in front of her! Our entire conversation was in english, she should have known I had understood every single word she is ‘whispering’ to her colleague. When I proceeded to make payment, again she made a comment by telling her colleague to attend to another group of ANNOYING customers. I’ve bought my items but is was a really unhappy shopping experience. In all the staff attending to us is very very rude and unfriendly the entire time.

I was there at around 8pm yesterday and requested for a bag that I had checked the availability pior to arrival with the Heathrow Shopping Service staff. The first staff had no idea what I was saying and had to refer me to a senior staff. The senior staff offered me the bag in a different color but it was not the right one. She requested for the product reference number instead of helping me to look it up. In the end, they did not have the bag in store. The senior Chanel staff, an older lady with short hair and glasses laughed at me when I said I had already checked the product availability with the Heathrow concierge staff. None of the staff acted professionally, nor did they look like they were interested to do any sales.

Small shop without much to offer. Was interested in a bag and they didn’t have a new one. A senior staff took a new bag with a similar colour out and said they’re the same but they were clearly not. Then she went to the computer to see if they had a new one and they didn’t. She tried very hard to persuade me into getting the display item by saying “it’s the last one in the entire Europe” and “we only put it out on display a few days ago and no one has touched it yet so it’s like brand new”. Not impressed so end up not getting anything. Also, staff would ask where your destination is before you buy anything in store, a bit bizarre of them to do so.
