   The elderly gentleman at the counter was very rude and seemed uninterested in helping me find the right equipment for my job. I left feeling quite disappointed with the level of customer service.

   I brought my chopsaw to them as the angles were not accurate when cutting. 2 weeks later I was told it had been sorted, when I used it back at work nothing had changed at all! I took it back to them again and again they told me it had been sorted, this time I checked it in the shop with a scrap piece of material and still it was exactly the same! I was told that I must have damaged it myself as it was sorted the first time round! I’m 50 quid out of pocket with exactly the same issue still not sorted.. avoid this company, I really should have demanded my money back.

   Disgusting I took a lawnmower in for repair which took nearly a month to diagnose when it was a simple self start battery problem. I always had to chase them for information and they failed on two occasions to update me. The staff are uninterested and when I collected the mower, it had been out in the rain and all the battery terminals were wet. Apparently they have to store items outside in the rain as there’s nowhere else to put them. A very disrespectful way to treat machinery with simply no accountability for their actions

   Very helpful chap, very customer focussed, some of the larger retailers could learn a lot about how to treat customers. He helped me to get a replacement spark plug for my lawn mower….offered to stay open later as well for me to pick it up, excellent and would definitely recommend.

   I took a K'Archer pressure washer in to them for diagnosis/repair. They wanted £25 to look at it, which I paid. I went back to pick it up only to find it disassembled with its smaller components in a plastic carrier bag. Apparently this 2 year old machine wasn't worth fixing, so they didn't even put it back together. I have no idea what's happened to this shop (that I've been going to for decades). I've never encountered such disrespect and would never go back there. Pity, because it used to be such a good shop before they clearly lost interest...

   Great service at a price lower than the majority of the big chains. This place has been awesome for us since we moved to mere Green. The staff are very helpful and give great advise if you're working on something and not sure what you'll need for the job. It's arranged in the way hardware shops used to be and still should be. Instead of prepackaged things you might never use all of you can buy single washers and screws and there's a great selection of tools to both buy and rent. I hope it sticks around as there aren't many shops left like this any more.
