Was walking by when someone's pet dog (was tied outside a shop) bit my leg and tore through my pants. It was right next to Cohen's so i walked in and told them I'm an FY2 doctor and if i can use the consultation room to examine the wound, and if they have a first aid kid. The staff was just confused. Did not understand the urgency of the situation. They let me use the room, this was probably around 5:58pm or so, and while i was examining the wound they turned off the light in the consultation room saying we have to close. I had to send the wound picture to a senior colleague and had to take it with my phone's flashlight. They did not have a first aid kid, took them a minute to find just one alcohol swab. They weren't rude however i cannot believe that anyone working in healthcare could ever be so non-chalant and unaccommodating in such a pressing situation. What would they have lost if they didn't turn off the lights for 3-4 more minutes? They didn't even properly ask if i was okay, didn't even take a look at me, just turned off the lights and grabbed their coats and waited by the door for me to sort my emergency, which by the way took like 3 minutes maximum. didn't even properly guide me to the nearest hospital.

I would like to say I have had exceptional service from the staff at Cohen's Stretford. They are always polite and helpful, even when under pressure due to staff shortage. Special thanks to Angela who went above and beyond to keep us updated about a missing prescription and telephoned us to advise that it had been re-ordered and would arrive the next day. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Today (Monday 22/09/25 at around 3:20pm) I experienced worst service ever as I entered the cohens pharmacy on Chester road to collect my medication. I joined the queue and when all people in front of me were served it become my turn.. the young lady ( apparently Asian) stared at me and never come to serve me. Her colleague was busy with another customer in the consultation room. As soon as she saw someone came in she jumped and served her. I didn’t say anything as that person was old lady. After serving this lady she went behind the counter and didn’t offer me for help. I waited till the young lad finished with the consultation and he helped me. This young girl she forgot that this country people use “First come first serve “!! Unfortunately she practices her back home mentality in Manchester. I hope people in charge Chester road cohens will educate her to serve people and friendly to everyone.

I placed a verbal order last week for a repeat prescription and thought it would be ready early this week.I rang this pharmacy for an update and was told no prescription was requested..(LIE). By now I was short of Priadel.I was then referred to the GP practice and was informed that the prescription did exist and awaited signing by the doctor.I advised yourselves that I now had run out of an import medication, and needed an emergency supply of PRIADEL (used for treatment of bi-polar disorder)..I was then informed that the medication couldn’t be dispensed because no prescription had been received…..I was then referred to ring111 to get them to generate an emergency prescription for obtaining an emergency supply . This was duly done and Harry’s Pharmacy provided 2 tablets of Priadel… another day passed and late afternoon I dialed the pharmacy in excess of 100 times and received constant engaged tone. No pharmacist had been available to raise an emergency script so Harry’ saved the day. Anyway when all comes to all and after being told my full prescription would be be ready this afternoon ( Thursday 8th May) lo and behold when I arrived to collect I was told “ It will be ready for collection tomorrow afternoon”. WE WILL SEE WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS …………..I remember the olden days when prescriptions took 3 days max, and a friendly driver would happily deliver….AAH WELL THAT’S PROGRESS FOR YOU….!! DISGRUNTLED !!!

The service from the staff at this chemist is far below subpar, with the exception of 1 or 2. I am truly surprised they managed to stay open so long, for example when they get a prescription they expect you to give them a week to 10 days before you collect it because it's not processed there. Let me add you can't question an error because you end up being told a pack of lies.

Really efficient and organised pharmacy. Always have had my prescription ready ahead of time and never had a problem. It’s so unusual to find a really helpful and effective pharmacy so use this one.
