   Extremely rude staff member named Pam. I picked up a picture canvas which stated it was £7.50 on the shelf. At the till it came up to £15. I mentioned that this price wasn’t as advertised. Then this extremely elderly lady named Pam came along after she was asked to check the price by the member of staff serving me at the till. She didn’t check anything and just said whatever it was scanning at is the price. I said the shelves say it’s £7.50, then she started to become extremely rude and condescending Infront of other customers and staff. Stating “I’m not bothered, the price is the price. if you don’t want it, don’t take it” I understand that your loosing your job on Saturday and might be at the job center on Monday, but there’s no need to take it out on customers. I then took the item back to the shelves to double check, another member of staff approached me to help as she witnessed the outburst with no reasoning and apologised on her behalf.

   The company is in administration and this store is closing down. The closing down date is currently unknown at the time of posting. The store itself looks like anything that is decent (branded power tools, ect) has been shipped out and they are selling the leftover rubbish and whatever they have in the warehouse. The currently 10% off everything still doesn't make a dent on how overpriced it was anyway. Good luck to all the staff.

   Recently bought a yard brush that fell apart at the first use. Previously, just over a year ago, bought a motion sensor outside light that now doesn't switch itself off. They are good for paint and garden products.

   Called In to dispute a parking fine the manager was very helpful,it appears there is no thoroughfare rights for traveling to any business on the same shopping complex business park, there is no signage saying no thoroughfare yet an attempt was made to fine me £100, 1000s of people use this rout and have done so for decades,it was a shock when I got this parking fine and it caused substantial stress and anxiety, also taking time up for Chris bowen the manager of homebase it's not fair for him and all the people who have only passed through, I'm sure it will get sorted out soon,until then please be patient, thank you Chris

   I agree with other comments about wrong information/prices. I wanted to buy this 11 piece padded garden set which was on sale, I picked up box 3 of 3 and asked a member of staff to get the rest of the set only to be told it was only the parasol that was for sale. (Look at the description on the sale ticket) After challenging it they changed the sign although the manager (Stuart Rodgers,who was very rude and condescending) stated it was right in the first place. (So why change it) Many of times the prices on the shelf differ to what you pay at the till check your receipts.

   Went in to buy some plant pots for the garden. Unfortunately although there were a good selection, there were very few which were priced. Eventually I found an assistant but she could only give me a rough price for the pots I wanted. Had to take to the checkout to find out what each one cost. Store could do with more staff to reduce queueing at checkouts and ensure all stock is displayed and priced correctly.
