   Went into the Huddersfield TradePoint today, just trying to grab a few things. There were three people stood around one till and honestly, none of them seemed bothered to help, except for one girl in a hijab, (Amna) She actually noticed me coming in and acknowledged me, straight away she was friendly, helpful, and just had a really nice way about her. She even just had a casual conversation with me. You can tell she actually cares about her job and about people. What really stood out was that she didn’t just do it for me, I watched her while she served others, and she treated everyone with the same patience and effort. That’s the kind of person you should be hiring more of. not seen her before, either way, she made a proper difference to my day just by being kind and actually giving a damn. Please make sure this gets passed on, people like her make the place better.

   Went in 30th October 25. Wanted to look at fires and ask some questions. I had a fire in mind but wanted to look at some others that where switched off. No staff about so husband went looking for staff. Returned 5 mins later saying the staff member he spoke to said no available staff at the moment we would have to wait. Eventually Gave up waiting and left with no fire. As we where leaving 3 members of staff on One till! Will take my money else where, where they need it cos b and q don't care.

   Awful service. One staff member eating on the shop floor trying not to make eye contact with customers. Another on her phone constantly. In the shop about 20 minutes she was stood near self check outs and she looked up maybe twice in the whole 20 mins. A few more just talking clearly not about work. The few staff members that were working must have been fuming because as a customer even I was disgruntled and regretted not going the extra 10 mins to wickes where customer service is much more professional

   B&Q is huge store wirh variety of products. My interest was in plants and gardening tools, so, i kept my focus in that area only. But still there is a lit to look around to decore your home. Quality of products was good but i have not any idea about affordibility or price comparison with other stores.

   Pro's 1 All manner of smaller or single items are readily available. 2 Bulk purchasing and large items are also available. 3 Some large equipment available for hire. 4 Essentially a one stop shop for all diy projects. 5 Staff can provide free advice in specific areas of different trades. 6 Long opening hours 7 Easy onsite parking Con's 1 Prices could be more competitive for a national chain with huge buying power. 2 Their own brands will get the job done but don't match professional quality tools.
