    Not been here for a very long time but used to be a frequent visitor so thought we'd call in as we had heard that it's had a recent makeover. Though it's been refurbished it's basic interior layout is still the same but has a different look and feel. On the ground floor they have fitted in quite a few more benches for those that like to get a suntan whilst drinking. Downstairs the interior lighting seems to have a great effect and gives the premises a more modern upmarket look. The staff were cheerful and helpful and they still have a great range of drinks.

    Nice pub split into two lefthand side us the Mayflower, right the pilgrim. I went into the Mayflower. No food just a vast selection of good beers and a nice crowd of people. Bar staff were very accommodating.

    Nice and quaint old pub in the back streets of the old town, near the Cathedral. Full of old charm and has a sun trap yard for outside drinking. Worth a pop, if you fancy somewhere a bit nice, historic and off the beaten track.

    Spent many years coming here until last night which will be my last visit due to a very aggressive, rude barmaid. No warning of "last orders or please drink up" , she stood and screeched "get out now" literally in our faces. The nice lads who work there (some new) were obviously humiliated by this vile girl however did nothing and let her ruin everyone's evening. People were talking outside about this brash, rough girl! Get rid as she does not know how to interact with humans and will cause conflict while she is there!!! Very poor for revisits.

    This is a really nice old pub of some age with a couple of interesting architectural features including an old cast iron spiral staircase to upstairs room. They keep a good pint of Sandpiper altho quite expensive, its worth it. Staff are really criendly & helpful too.

    The Pilgrim is a classic venue. This review is for people new to or visiting Liverpool as otherwise youll know it. I've been going there since 2002 and it's hardly changed. Its a small underground bar with a uncovered seating area upstairs. Cheap house double and trebles are available along with £1 bottles of lager. The jukebox is free between 1pm and 4pm so great place for a day session. Loads of character and characters inhabit the Pilgrim. Great place for a long session or popping in for a swift one.

    Really nice and typical English pub to go and enjoy a beer. The owner is super cool and friendly, and they got a large choice of alcohol, really well recomended

    Visit early afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all but you can tell that it must get really going later on . Basement pub with some outdoor seating to the side . Only stopped in for a quick pint but really enjoyed the music mix during my visit.
