Came in for the kids Christmas party and had a great time, the kids loved it. The food was amazing as well as the drinks. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The overall atmosphere was amazing and defiantly will be visiting more often. One of the best pubs I’ve been too for a while and would defiantly recommend as it’s worth the visit.

Went for a few drinks to watch the match the other week and had a lovely time! Got served by a lovely man called Kieron and he was friendly, attentive and funny. Will definitely be coming back again

Used to be such a great pub this but has gone downhill dramatically over the last few years. Used to eat here all the time but last time we went they had hardly any food so we had burgers that were cremated. Went on Boxing day before the football, it was packed with away fans and just 2 very unwelcoming staff behind the bar. Got fed up waiting so went over to the PP as did quite a few others. Shame as used to be one of the best around for food & atmosphere now just going through the motions.

Extremely satisfied with the service I had. Staff are warm and welcoming plus the food is spot on with a great array of drinks from soft to alcoholic. Would definitely recommend if your looking for great food at great prices

Sunday evening, ordered Two XL mixed grills, absolutely lovely. Nice atmosphere and would definitely come again. We weren't sure how the parking meter worked but registered inside and all was good...hopefully!!

Lovely pub. Love the decor inside, really cosy vibe to it. Didn't try any food on this occasion but plenty of people were eating and the food looked great. TV at every angle so doesn't really matter where you sit. Toilets were nice and clean.

Called in for lunch with my husband and our dog. We had a chicken sharing platter for two really good would have fed three people comfortably very tasty. Plenty of seating and staff very friendly will definitely be returning.

Large, busy pub. It was 5 pm, so the pub was busy with families eating meals. Bar staff are friendly and efficient. I had a pint of Green King IPA which was obviously not used much or the barrel was on the turn, so it tasted like vinegar. Tried to take it back, but it was so busy, so I gave up. We left and moved to another pub. Not many bitters on offer, but lots of lagers to choose from.

Polite staff, nice food and very clean toilets. The pub shows on the Greene King app, but offer no functionality with regards to table service. Burgers only on the menu as it was a footy night which is fair enough. My meal was served to the wrong table and by the time the staff noticed a few chips had been swiped, and no replacement was offered (although none was asked for).

Although I've been coming to the Clipper for a number of years, I've never (until now) tried the food. We have always commented on how amazing it looks and smells, but I've always been in with the footy lads after the Tranmere games, so just a few pints. Always a great atmosphere in here. I tried the fish and chips for less than a tenner. Fish was massive and honestly the best fish I've ever had! The chips where unreal too! I'm going again next week to try more of the fantastic menu, and I've just booked Christmas day in here with my wife. A really top notch place! Well done guys!
