    Fantastic service @ Halfords St Helens. I had an issue with an order which was resolved in a very professional manner with both speed and efficiency by Manager Donna. This resulted in a very satisfied customer. Thoroughly recommend using this well run store.

    Visited here on Sunday 14th December to get a replacement headlight. A lovely lady took the time to ask if we needed help as we were looking for the headlight on the shelves, she was great. Unfortunately the customer service at the till was not good. A group of older male staff members were just stood around behind the till talking to a customer who was waiting for something. A young lad served us but didn’t really speak. Even though we were buying a headlight nobody asked if we needed it fitted. So my partner asked if someone could fit it for us. That’s when one of the older men piped up saying to the young lad, oh there you go, take one for the team and they all laughed. Yes it was raining at the time but we were paying for the service. This older man just made us feel like we were being an inconvenience and it also didn’t seem like a very nice way to treat the young lad. We found it all quite unprofessional and we will not be back here any time soon

    The products are great, but the customer service was shocking. My car battery died, so with the help of my sister, we went to the nearest Halfords so I could fit a new battery. Simple? I would say I was greeted, but it was more like being told my presence was an inconvenience without being told so. I asked Mark for a new battery and was told it was Β£50 to fit it. I told him I would be fitting it myself, and instead of accepting this, he proceeded with his sexist comments and misinformation. Mark told me I can't fit it myself and the battery needs coding. I explained that this is new information, as I have done this before with my old car and never needed to. Mark said my old car didn't have stop/start and was shocked when I told him I spent 3 years using it and bought a stop/start battery for that car. I was then told that if I bought the membership then fitting would be free. I laughed to my sister because how is spending almost Β£50 on a membership I won't use and will forget to cancel the cheaper option. He so kindly brought over a piece of paper so I could "understand". He also asked if I brought my car with me today ..... the car with a dead battery, and told me the nearest place for fitting is in Widnes. I told him if that's the case, I would have paid online for the service to be done at my home, where my dead car is. He seemed not to know about this service. Thankfully, this damsel was saved by a man who wasn't sexist and agreed my car didn't need coding and I'd be able to fit it. He also checked that I have the tools I needed, likely ready to show me what's in the shop should I need it. Meanwhile, Mark struggled to find the battery, and when he came back, he took my details for my receipt. To end the story, this is why most women hate going into car/tool places because we are treated like idiots who don't know what they are doing. I tried to laugh off the situation because I was so shocked and my sister was horrified. It's 2025 and it's important to hire staff who are not only knowledgeable about their stock and services but also understand what no means. No is a sentence and shouldn't have to be explained or defended. I shouldn't have to be saved by a man, but thank you. I didn't catch his name, he was tall, decently built and had tattoos. I wish I had only interacted with him because he treated me like a human. I fitted my own battery and my car runs perfectly.

    Easy to order on line. Everything ready when i arrived for installation. Dash cam seems good quality and easy to use. I had it installed at my local shop. Assistant very pleasant and helpful. He went through its use with me explaining clearly. I would recommend highly purchase and installation.

    I brought an adult booster cushion from this store which said on the box it had a 2 year guarantee. I went to the till to pay cash. The cashier could not give me a receipt as she said she had no paper. Surely this is illegal as I have no proof of purchase for the warranty. Then she told me the till drawer doesn't open so she couldn't give me change so had to give the right money. I could only have a receipt if I gave my email address!! I wont be returning to Halfords.

    I called into St Helens this morning 9.30 just for oil in my Peugeot excellent service .The lady on the till does an excellent job lovely and polite so nice .The man that did my oil he was so nice and polite quick and efficient didn't make me feel I was a nuisance for a job I can do myself .Thank you

    I received fantastic service this morning. The doors had hardly opened when I turned up to have a child seat fitted, instead of being sent away Gary enthusiastically left what he was doing to help out and solve my problem. First class service

    Staff at St Helens we’re really helpful and friendly on the two visits I made recently. In fact, I was so impressed that I drove past my local Halfords to go to St Helens branch due to make my purchase. I didn’t get all of the staff members names who helped us but I know one was Donna who was excellent, as where the other team members I dealt with
